* OvershadowedByControversy: Good luck finding someone who ''didn't'' find out about him from "M8 Yer Dugs A Nazi", in which [[VulgarHumour he teaches his girlfriend's pug to lift his paw]] to the phrase [[AdolfHitlarious "Sieg Heil!"]]. The video got him in trouble with UK police, sparked protests and debates about freedom of speech, and ended in him gaining a £800 fine. Any mention of it will make people bring up the topic or accuse him of being a "Nazi" or being right-wing (despite Mark being anything but, in fact Mark's more of a ''libertarian'' than anything else, with a huge patriotic love for Scotland, with only allegations of being right-wing stemming from the aforementioned video and being interviewed and plugged by Alex Jones).

* UglyCute: His pet dog Buddha. Being a pug, this is obviously a given.

* BizarroEpisode: His video on Creator/BobRoss is a lot more calm and respectful in tone than his other Absolute Mad Lad videos.

* DesignatedVillain: Otis in the Ken Allen video. The only thing he seems to have done wrong was compete with Ken for the attention of the females, but even then it was ''Ken'' who was moved into ''Otis''' enclosure, so by human logic Otis had the right of a prior claim.

* MemeticLoser: Ken Allen's rival and ArchEnemy Otis. Thanks to Dankula referring to him as a "pussy-ass bitch", he has, rather appropriately, become quite the ButtMonkey.

** While Dank makes it clear that what Ted Kaczynski did was [[FreudianExcuseIsNoExcuse abhorrent]] and [[DontShootTheMessage self-defeating]], he at least found the views on modern society well thought out, and even pondered how things would go differently had Ted not been screwed over through his upbringing, especially when skipping grades and being experimented on while in Harvard. Even while Ted never forgave his brother David for turning him in, the latter tried to deny it at first before the telltale writing quirks of the manifesto became too much, and even to this day David tries to reconcile with the brother he had always looked up to.

* AcceptableTargets:
** Government in general are a frequent target of mockery from Dank, given his Libertarian beliefs.
** Totalitarian ideologies, most often Fascism and Communism, are also routinely derided by him under similar principles. Dankula will not hesitate to make it clear he thinks believers in either are idiots.
** Like any good Scotsman, Dankula doesn't have the most favorable views towards the English either (though this is more in jest, as Dank has several English friends).

* While most his Absolute Mad Lads go out in a blaze of glory not everyone is so lucky, and Dank himself is almost misty-eyed himself at the slow, sad deaths of the likes of Bob Ross and Ken Allen from cancer.

** While Dank is ''far'' from the saddest of boys, the videos where he discusses being found guilty for a "hate crime" and being charged 800 pounds really had him rather solemn, with a bit of his usual snarky self. The latter video of "The Prince of Freedom is £800" where he quietly muses how despite the case not going for his favor, he's more relieved for whatever stress is gone from his shoulders and his family.
