* AuthorsSavingThrow: Two months of dialogue as the characters realized that their behavior had been unacceptable. It turns out the unacceptable behavior by Sixx (giving Laura an aphrodisiac without permission or warning, forcing Ginger into an uncomfortable situation, etc.) was partly an attempt to test Laura's [[spoiler: superhuman abilities]] and partly letting her emotions override her normal sense of judgement.

* BrokenBase: Not rabidly so, but there are some people in the forums venting their dislike of certain developments. Common grumblings are when the BDSM parts fade out for a long while or the general pacing.

The act of drugging her "personal slave" (a term akin to "wife" in-universe) without her knowledge was very, very quickly brought up by the (now [[BrokenBase broken]]) fanbase.
** Recent developments hint that Paixao Riaz is also a [[spoiler:MindControl drug]], or at the very least [[spoiler: makes a "perfect energy link" between slave and owner]]. While this is used to explain [[spoiler: Laura and Ginger's AchievementsInIgnorance]], some members of the fanbase are hoping for clarification about the possible [[spoiler: MindControl]] aspect of the drug -- one way or another.
** Part of the reason for the backlash may have stemmed from the comic being firmly in the Safe, Sane, and Consensual bracket of showcasing BSDM before this happened. The shift from "Slightly fantasy, but grounded in reality" to "no repercussions for our actions so long as it's done for twu wuv" irked a lot of readers.
** The Spank-Off could be considered a giant mess of this. So, Sixx almost forces her slave (again, a term equivalent to being a wife) into being beaten by someone who they don't like or trust (and in this case, the sadist is deliberately trying to cause as much actual pain as possible)...and no matter how rape-like this experience could be, the slave can't say their safeword, or else they'll "lose" - in other words, the one way a slave could keep him/herself safe is being seen as a sign of weakness. And people are gathering to ''[[NightmareFuel watch this]]'' with the same enthusiasm they'd show for a football game. The whole thing comes across as being REALLY uncomfortable, even though [[spoiler:Laura temporarily switches places with Sixx, so Sixx is the one being beaten.]]

** The second arc is considered worse, starting in March 2011 and set to end in or by December 2013 and burdened with heavy amounts of exposition.

Despite a few pet the dog moments, she's very fond of ColdBloodedTorture of both the physical and psychological variety, rapes others/ forces people to rape there loved ones, and has yet to show anything akin to remorse.
