* FanDumb: There is a small portion of the fan base that insist Clarence [[InsaneTrollLogic must ABSOLUTELY have some kind of disorder due to Skyler Page (the creator and Clarence's first voice actor) being bipolar. But since Clarence doesn't really fit said disorder they'll often try and say he has a different, entirely unrelated disorder, and nearly always lack anything to back the claims up.]] Not only is the other 3/4ths of the fandom annoyed by this behaviour but some people outside the fandom refuse to watch the show due to how offensive they find the behaviour.

* TheScrappy: Jeff, due to his (often over dramatic and frankly uncalled for) freakouts and both his creepy opinions of girls and his own social ranking, has thrown him into the scrappy heap for many people.

** That time when Clarence encountered a very hungry, very angry, mountain lion in his back yard. The way the police man talked about a previous mountain lion attack moments before certainly didn't help.
** Clarence running around the playground (and later the school) unsupervised while he's blinded by mud. The fact that he could have accidentally run into the road and gotten hit made the scene hard for people to watch.

** Jeff's freakouts and creepy behaviour towards girls can be this for some viewers.

** The same with "Average Jeff". The entire episode has the class separated into two separate classes based on test scores, Quivers and Crayons. It comes across as intelligence based segregation and Jeff is pretty disgusted at it (then again he wanted to be in the smart class for selfish reasons so it may be a moot point).

* TearJerker:
** The scene in "Pretty Great Day With a Girl" where Amy mentions her parents are getting divorced and she might be moving away, and Clarence mentions his dad is gone (it's not known how[[note]]whether he died, divorced, or just up and left the family[[/note]], but it is pretty much established that Clarence's mom is not married anymore[[note]]or never was[[/note]] and that Chad is not Clarence's biological father).
** In "Dinner Party", there's the part where Clarence accidentally mistakes fiberglass insulation for cotton candy and ends up scolding his hand on it. Sure he gets better shortly afterwards, but it's a pretty jarring moment compared to the goofy antics of the rest of the episode.
