* TransAudienceInterpretation: When Chugga first encountered Lasagna the Crustle in his ''Black 2 & White 2'' LP, they initially were a female crab, only to become a male crab instead when Emile reset the game due to not having Sturdy. This caused many people (including Emile himself) to interpret Lasagna as non-binary, or as a trans male.

* ItsShortSoItSucks: What some of his fans cry whenever he posts videos that are usually less than twenty minutes long. He calls them out on it when he points out that for his earlier [=LPs=] he couldn't even go past ten minutes due to [=YouTube's=] restriction at the time, so they should be happy that he can post longer videos now.
* JustHereForGodzilla: His ''Splatoon'' playthroughs combine the games' story mode missions with multiplayer matches that focus on using a new weapon so viewers can learn strategies for it... but most people, upon learning the contents of the playthrough, just come to watch Chugga play online multiplayer Splatoon, especially since all his other projects have been single-player games with no real-time interaction with others (bonus videos dedicated to multiplayer modes excluded).
** Others have had the exact opposite reaction, instead only watching the single-player modes, the feature of the day, and/or the weapon bio, ignoring the rest of the episode.

** Walnut the Forretress from ''VideoGame/PokemonColosseum'' is divisive, especially for Chugga picking her as his StoneWall over [[StarterMon Baggage the Umbreon]]. Supporters agree with Chugga's assessment that Umbreon's moveset is too lacking in ''Colosseum'' and that it was better to make use of a less popular and available Pokémon, noting that Chugga will have plenty of opportunities to use Umbreon in later [=LPs=], and that Walnut's [[TakingYouWithMe Explosion attack]] created several chaotic gambles throughout the Let's Play. Detractors of Walnut, however, feel Chugga's reasonings for using her are hypocritical, as while Chugga claimed that Umbreon wouldn't be able to do much besides "Bite and Toxic stall" Walnut ultimately spent most battles either using Rapid Spin (which is a move '''much''' weaker and more situational than Bite) or Toxic stalling, only broken up by the occasional use of Explosion. Before the game came out Emile complained how the game had some similarities to ''Sticker Star'' and decided to not buy the it, despite ''Origami King'' being considered a SurprisinglyImprovedSequel to many fans and critics alike. While a lot of people are okay with his opinions and are glad that he even gave it a chance at all, others felt a lot of his criticisms of the game are very nitpicky or downright bizarre. His opinions about the game's music[[note]]He felt the songs sounded very samey and thought the the previous games had much better variety[[/note]] and [[spoiler:Bobby's death[[note]]He thought his death was completely unearned due to Emile thinking he was [[TheScrappy annoying]] as well as contradicting ''Paper Mario'' lore by having him permanently die as opposed to coming right back like Bombette and Admiral Bobbery[[/note]]]] have been criticized a lot by his fans, with them thinking Emile is being completely {{bias|steamroller}}ed towards the older games as those games had similar issues which he never brings up. That being said, Emile slightly mitigated this later by stating that, while he may not be a fan of the ''Color Splash'' and ''Origami King'' approach, he doesn't consider either of them anywhere '''near''' as bad as ''Sticker Star''.

* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: At the ends of his ''Majora's Mask'' videos, he features a [=ZREO=] remix of a song from the game relevant to the events of the episode. And, in general, he tends to pick pretty good music whenever he needs to speed up footage or make a montage, often using rock covers of video game music by [=CarboHydroM=] and [=CSGuitar89=].

** Pango and Croque ended up being Emile's least popular villagers in his ''New Leaf'' LP, however many also feel he unfairly chose them as the designated bad guys of the village after bad first impressions and at times had to bend over backward to keep that narrative going. To anyone that knows how the ''Animal Crossing'' games work, his treatment of Croque, in particular, is actually very unfair, as what the villagers have as catchphrases are meant to be [[VerbalTic Verbal Tics]] with no ill intent, and other things that they say are not only random but they can easily be seen in a nicer context. Fans note all of his villagers tend to display acts of selfishness on occasion but Emile still enjoys their company causing some to accuse Emile of being a hypocrite.[[note]] As an example, Pietro wanted to replace his [[YouMeanXMas Toy Day]] gift just 4 days after he got it. While Emile is angry at that moment, Emile doesn't hold anything against Pietro in the long run and continues to see Pietro as one of his favorites.[[/note]] He even brings up the random dialogue in regard to Pango in episode 40, saying that he didn't want to talk about that aspect too much in order to keep the "sitcom" feel of the series intact by making the animals seem real. Even taking into account that one is supposed to treat the villagers with established personalities, some still feel he treated them a bit unfairly, as he seemed to be intentionally twisting whatever they said to be as negative as possible[[note]]For example, Croque mistakes him for a ghost after he returns from his long absence in Welcome Amiibo and begs him to leave him alone, and Chuggaa interprets this as Croque wishing death on him. Before that, Pango writes him a letter asking if he'd like to hang out with her, and Chuggaa jumps to the conclusion that she's trying to mug him.[[/note]], on several occasions even shooting Croque down or not acknowledging it whenever he actually said something nice or attempted to befriend Emile. Towards the end of the ''Welcome Amiibo'' revisit however, he did come to accept Croque's catchphrase as just something he says without any ill intent, and agreed to bury the hatchet with him (Pango had long since moved out by this point).

** In ''VideoGame/SuperMarioGalaxy2'', the somewhat infamous subject of the game's [[WhatCouldHaveBeen once-planned story]] being scrapped with [[Creator/ShigeruMiyamoto Miyamoto's]] counsel is brought up on multiple occasions, with Chuggaa voicing a distaste for the sequel being a somewhat confusing plot-light reboot of the first game. However, on one occasion, Chuggaa mentions that the original story plan for ''2'' would have focused on how Lubba met Rosalina. While this certainly makes a lot of sense as Lubba is the main new character and the closest thing to an equivalent for Rosalina - who was the subject and narrator of the first game's storybook - and their relationship is hinted at but remains mysterious in the final game, no in-detail source about what 2's story could have entailed seems to have surfaced over the years, let alone how Lubba could have factored in.[[note]]This one, notably, is likely a matter of inconclusive research, as mention of such a concept was added to [[https://www.mariowiki.com/List_of_Super_Mario_Galaxy_2_pre-release_and_unused_content Super Mario Wiki's own unused content page for the game]] all the way back in 2012, and has remained without a known source since.[[/note]]

* MandelaEffect: Several people have claimed Chugga has done a Let's Play of ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaTwilightPrincess'' or ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaOcarinaOfTime'', but [[https://twitter.com/chuggaaconroy/status/1331373912022724616 he has done neither one]]. This is especially ironic in the case of ''Twilight Princess'' as Chuggaa never finished the game until 2017.

** Fans weren't expecting Dusclops/Dusknoir to be Chuggaa's final team member in his Platinum LP, especially since he skipped on using Duskull earlier in the game and even written it off for its poor attack power and low speed.

** Emile's insistence on not showing off any special events in his ''Pokémon'' [=LPs=]. While one camp agrees that it would be unfair for him to showcase parts of the game that are no longer legally accessible and that trying to hack in the events would put his save data at too great of a risk, many others desperately want him to play through them on-camera rather than just talk about or allude to them. The latter opinion has become more prominent as a result of many other popular Let's-Players taking the risk and successfully showing off these events in their videos, and after Emile demonstrated the Southern Island event in a bonus video of his ''Pokémon Emerald'' playthrough.[[labelnote:Note]]This event is a notable exception to his "no parts of the game that can't be legally accessed anymore" rule, as it is activated through the use of a special e-Reader card rather than through Mystery Gift or distribution cartridges (which ''are'' legally purchasable, but are ludicrously expensive and have the possibility of being defunct). Despite the fact that Emile needed to spend over $100 to get the card's associated event item into his copy of ''Emerald'' as a result of the game's lack of e-Reader support (he needed to scan the card into a copy of ''Ruby & Sapphire'' whose save file had mixed records with another Third-Gen ''Pokémon'' game less than five times, then mix records between the ''RS'' cartridge and the ''Emerald'' cartridge to transfer the event item into the latter), said process is entirely doable by anyone with the necessary supplies and does not run the risk of running into any legal gray areas or harming any save files, hence why he chose to show off Southern Island.[[/labelnote]] This debate has, however, started to die down somewhat, thanks to Emile showing off the Regi Trio event in ''Pokémon Platinum'' and all the ones in ''Pokémon Black & White'', having apparently prepared for them far in advance.

** Pandora the Absol from ''[[VideoGame/PokemonRubyAndSapphire Pokémon Emerald]]'' was widely derided upon her capture due to lacking any [=STAB=] moves to compliment her typing (prior to [[VideoGame/PokemonDiamondAndPearl Gen IV]] moves were categorized by type with all Dark-Type moves being special), many predicting that she would be the weak link in the LP. Ultimately, however, Pandora proved to be an amazing asset against several Gym Leaders and even managed to single-handedly defeat the first half of the Elite 4, with many now considering her to be the MVP of the team.
