OK, I think we're adding too much into this pair of brackets. The comparison was added here first because somebody said that the political correctness pandering was even worse than BF 1, but lacked any context for the comparison, so I gave it some explanation. Now that I think of it it's not really necessary. BF 1 comparison is down there at Fandom Rivalry and Dueling Works.

** The inclusion of women and black soldiers fighting for not just the Americans, but the ''Germans'' as well have upset a lot of people. Many say that this flies in the face of historical accuracy and ruins immersion badly (a frequent comparison is the dueling game of ''VideoGame/Battlefield1'', which also has black and female soldiers but justifies their appearance by only [[AluminiumChristmasTrees including them in the armies that had them]][[note]]bar the German army in Europe[[/note]] - albeit still in ridiculously inaccurate proportions), and also disrespects the actual soldiers who fought and died in the war in the name of [[PoliticallyCorrectHistory political correctness and inclusitivity]]. The others says that ''Call of Duty'' is already unrealistic as it is with action-movie campaigns and killstreaks in multiplayer, and that the game is primarily meant to be entertaining for everyone and not a historic simulator.

** Even fans who want another WWII game are skeptical that the game will be primarily from the American perspective in the Western Front. However, Sledgehammer confirmed that there will be campaign missions centered around the French resistance and British intelligence, partially alleviating this concern.
