* SpiritualSuccessor: Game developer Millenium Kitchen's other games are similar and/or related to their flagship series:
** ''Bokura no Kazoku'' is a child-raising simulator from the [=POV=] of a parent, overlooking their growth and education from kindergarten to their jobs (through a period of roughly 35 years). The game features an identical art style to ''Boku no Natsuyasumi'', and some minor characters are either very similar and/or vaguely implied to be secondary characters from the series.
** ''VideoGame/AttackOfTheFridayMonstersATokyoTale'', instead of being themed around Japanese holidays, concerns a boy trying to figure out the relation between his favourite {{Toku}} show and the [[MaybeMagicMaybeMundane seemingly real]] weekly monster fights that happen close to his hometown before it's aired... As well as play its CollectibleCardGame along his friends and neighbors (as a clear nod to the seventies' Tokusatsu boom, especially to the Franchise/UltraSeries which indeed aired on fridays).
** ''Shin-chan: Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation'' is basically a licensed ''Boku no Natsuyasumi'' game, starring the cast from ''Manga/CrayonShinChan''. Much like ''Attack of the Friday Monsters'', it's also been translated to various languages, making it the closest thing to an official series' translation for now.
