In his departure letter (made ''after'' he was kicked out), Tom confirmed that Mark and Travis (mainly their lawyers) were going to force him to [[ExecutiveMeddling sign a contract that could have hurt the entire projects Tom had planned beforehand]], and confirmed that he wasn't happy doing with blink because of his changing style. *** A perfect example of this are the "WHO THE FUCK IS MATT SKIBA" shirt, due to Mark's podcast interview with Matt. '''Majority''' of people find this a stupid joke and see it more as a way to mock Tom and arguably those who don't agree with the new change.

* FridgeBrilliance: "Adam's Song" contains a brief reference to {{Music/Nirvana}}'s "Come As You Are". I didn't think much about it until I realized that the song was about suicide which was how Music/KurtCobain died.

Despite acting all assholish to his band mates during the 2003-2004 tour and the sheer amount of crap he caused (which was ''pure accident'', even he admit it was his fault), you can't help but feel bad for him: He missed his wife giving birth to his daughter, was rarely around, and simply wanted to take a break from the band to be with her, something Travis and Mark didn't wanna do at the time. Add to the fact he went on a severe painkiller addiction due to spine surgery and getting '''so much shit''' from other hardcore blink fans blaming him for the band's break up in 2005-2009, and ''then'' being accused of changing the band's sound, you can't help but wanna give him a hug.
** Even though they were all acting like a bunch of jerks to each over during their breakup, you couldn't help but feel bad about their separation on some level, especially since they were thick as thieves for years and the breakup could have been avoided if it wasn't for outside pressure from the label and [[PoorCommunicationKills communication breakdowns]]. Travis' plane crash pretty much cinched it,even though he survived, doctors were convinced he'd never play again. If he didn't end up making it, let alone regain his ability to play drums, blink would never come back! Thankfully the band made up and is now touring, but they've admitted that Neighborhoods wasn't the best it could have been due to the band being scared of fighting again. Travis' severe (and justified) fear of flying means that they're limited to where they can tour based on if Travis can get there by boat. Even if they're doing better, you might as well give them ''all'' a hug, just to keep your bases covered.

* MisaimedFandom: Back in the day, the "All the Small Things" video wound up exposing the band to waves of {{squee}}ing teenage girls who didn't realize or care that they were making fun of {{boy band}}s with that video. That being said, plenty of said teenage girls still got the hint and there were still plenty of girls into blink before Enema of the State. Considering the amount of people who find each member of the band highly attractive (and all that [[FauxYay stage gay]]), you can't exactly ''blame'' those teenage girls for not knowing or not caring, right? The influx of teenage girls for blink was practically a test run for the dominance of Music/FallOutBoy, Music/PanicAtTheDisco, Music/MyChemicalRomance and their primarily female fanbases in the mid-00s, though that time around, the fandoms ''definitely'' weren't misaimed.
