[[SuperpowerLottery His incredibly useful superpower to both give and take away Quirks, and the way he passes that knowledge to Luz]]. [[spoiler:Not to mention that, he's not gonna let something like death stop his EvilPlan and get back to his home world]].

Kidnapping 33 superhuman children, Maxwell has them all compete in a DeathGame where they are split into teams and are forced to kill each other. Seeing [[Characters/TheOwlHouseLuzNoceda Luz Noceda]]'s potential through [[Characters/MyHeroAcademiaAllForOne All For One]], Maxwell manipulates the two other teams with the promise of money to spearhead an attack on all of Luz's teammates, including Julia, getting her to snap and kill the rest of them to steal their powers so he can blow Luz up, before planning to expand his genocidal goals. Despite his arrest, Maxwell caused the deaths of 27 innocent children and is responsible for the deterioration of Luz's mental state.
