But even though she doesn't mean to, her immaturity and idiocy cause no shortage of problems for those around her.

* LesYay: Yoshiko is so impressed by the Disciplinary Committee President's [[BuxomIsBetter chest]] when they first meet, that she then excitedly tries to touch her and compare, even justifying it with the claim of "this is for science!"

As she's stuck in the middle of [[WithFriendsLikeThese a merry band of violent, crazy, idiotic people]], it only becomes easier to pity her because of that.

* HoYay: Very, very oddly parodied in the sixth episode, when Akkun and the dog suddenly set up the HeterosexualLifePartners relationship, after which Yoshiko begins teasing him, accusing him of zoophilia.

* TheScrappy: Yoshiko's mom is one for some, because of her {{Jerkass}} personality, especially since she apparently [[DoubleStandardRapeFemaleOnMale raped Yoshiko's father]]. Then there's her attempt to ''drug'' Akkun, have Yoshiko force herself on him, [[BabyTrap and get herself pregnant to ensure that they get married]], all as part of her "retirement plan."

** Akuru repeatedly drilling Yoshiko with [[MegatonPunch attacks more outlandish every time]] is so over-the-top as to be funny. It helps that she does do enough to him to deserve it.

* EnsembleDarkhorse: It seems that Sayaka Sumino is the only character from the classmates of the main characters, who do not have haters because she never showed any negative traits of her personality. And apparently, her can be pitied, because Yoshiko is an extreme example of ToxicFriendInfluence for her.

* TheWoobie: Depending on the point of view; this is either Yoshiko, who even her own mother considers a doomed fool and begs her friend to marry her - or Akuru, who has no friends except Yoshiko and Sayaka [[CondescendingCompassion (who only became his friend out of pity)]], and is "doomed" to put up with the former as his idiotic childhood friend, who irritates him every day to no end.
