The real conflict of the special is between Crocker and Timmy, and so the whole ''Film/PlanetOfTheApes1968'' parody does nothing but stretch it out to movie-length, and is undone without any lasting effect. All it really does is get Crocker closer to the muffin, which would have happened anyway because he was already in the cafeteria. That said, the sequence does establish that the muffin can do ''anything'', and foreshadows Crocker's own world conquest.

The only other option would be to leave it with his parents who really ''are'' idiots.
** But it wouldn't matter if the muffin wouldn't be affected by a magical safe, as the muffin itself wouldn't do anything but sit there. Even if that were a problem, Timmy could just get a non-magical plate from the kitchen.
** Also, when he finds the muffin in the cafeteria, why didn't he just wish everyone else out of the room until he recovered it? This wouldn't affect the muffin in any way, getting around the "it's unaffected by fairy magic" issue, and he could easily wish for [[WeirdnessCensor no one to notice or complain]], since he's done it before.
