It's only when she successfully recalls the full Dream Master rhyme and stands on her own that brings about Krueger's defeat. The power Alice received from her friends could only take her so far. They gave her the strength not just to fight Freddy, but to find the strength to fight him on her own.]]

* FridgeHorror: Freddy needed Alice to pull in new victims. It would seem as if Freddy was holding either the IdiotBall or the VillainBall for most of the movie by the way he was antagonizing Alice and seemingly intending to kill her. Of course, there are a lot of things Freddy could do to Alice that wouldn't necessarily kill her, but could keep her in a constant dream state with all the victims he could ever want at his disposal. Say, maybe a nicked brain stem or a concussion which could leave Alice brain dead...
* HolyShitQuotient: The zoom out revealing Kincaid isn't just in a junkyard, he's on an entire planet covered in a labyrinth composed of scrapped cars.

** Rick's funeral scene. Alice falls asleep at the funeral. Rick's casket comes open and he gets out and begins talking to Alice telling her that it was a joke and he did it to fool Freddy. Seeing as how Freddy absorbs the souls of the people he kills and his habit of turning into people the heroes know, you would think that it would be a ploy by Freddy to scare Alice or perhaps in mind games. Nope, Rick tells Alice that he has to go, climbs back in the casket and closes it. Nothing evil or scary happens, nothing ultimately comes from it and is never mentioned again.

* NightmareFuel: Debbie's death involves her turning into a cockroach in what is clearly a ''very'' painful transformation before being crushed in a roach motel. Also, take note that out of the entire movie, Debbie's death was the longest and the most elaborate Krueger inflicted.

* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: "Running From this Nightmare" by Tuesday Knight (who also plays Kristen), if you like your 80's pop music DarkerAndEdgier.

* {{Squick}}: Freddy disguising himself as a human-like nurse. A make up-free Robert Englund in drag is suprisingly more disgusting than any violent act Freddy could dish out.
