* VitriolicBestBuds: Quickly hit it off with Wrestling/MercedesMartinez, this in spite of Martinez stressing to SHINE's staff that Velez Vélez was not the kind of person they should want as the face of their company. Mercedes's bad mouthing of Ivelisse did not stop her from backing her against Valkyrie either.

Quickly gaining leverage in tie ups and overwhelming the opponent with rapid strikes are her preferred methods though, trading offense usually doesn't workout too well, as Neveah demonstrated on SHINE 21, rocking Ivelisse from the opening bell and going on to knock her out.

Has she ever said she wasn\'t white though? If she has, fine but Latinas can be white, or black for that matter.

** Notable in that Paige kept the 'Anti Diva' character and became hugely popular as a result.

''Ivelisse Milagro Velez'' is a professional wrestler in North America, originating from San Juan, Puerto Rico. She trained under Carlos Colon and Savio Vega in Puerto Rico, before working her way up the Chicago indies under the name Juliet The Huntress. She achieved a huge boost in fame when she was one of the contestants on the revival of ''ToughEnough''. During the contest she suffered a serious knee injury and was eliminated two weeks later.

Despite her elimination, she impressed WWE officials and was signed to developmental contract in 2011. She competed in FCW and NXT under the name Sofia Cortez. However she was abruptly released in mid-2012 for supposed "attitude problems". Still, enjoying the boost in fame from her time in WWE, she has remained a regular fixture on the independents. She has been a part of TNA's Gut Check competition (being passed over in favour of Lei'D Tapa) and competed at a few of their ''One Night Only'' shows. In 2013 she also became the second ever ''Shine'' champion, defeating Rain.

Juliette would then wrestle for Colon's World Wrestling Council and Vega's International Wrestling Association in Puerto Rico, up until she joined New Wrestling Star and aided its wrestlers, along with those from New Empire, in an invasion of WWC. Later she won the Vanguard Wrestling All-Star Alliance Women's Championship in the continental United States.

!!Tropes of the Huntress:

* BreakUpBreakout: She and {{Wrestling/Paige}} were the "Anti-Diva Army" in FCW but had split by the first episode of NXT. She would be released not too later - while Paige would become the first NXT Women's Champion and later Divas' Champion. Though subverted if one includes her work outside WWE - as she has done very well.
** Notable in that Paige kept the 'Anti Diva' character and became hugely popular as a result.
* ButNotTooBlack: She's Puerto Rican but is more of a natural strawberry blonde, which would make a couple of people assume she was white. She had blonde hair for years but has since gone brunette - which makes her look more Hispanic.
* GameBreakingInjury: Suffered one to her leg while on ''Tough Enough''. Stone Cold had to eliminate her from the competition - and told her the injury was the only reason she was being cut. Technically it's ultimately a subversion, as she returned to wrestling about four months later.
* FaceHeelRevolvingDoor: Her three NXT matches. First she was a heel, then a face and then a heel again. Ditto for TNA. She was a face for the Gut Check and Knockouts Knockdown - but a heel on other shows.
* FinishingMove: A wheelbarrow DDT called Disdain, and a sunset flip powerbomb called the Desert Eagle (better known as Amazing Red's Code Red or Melina's Last Call).
* {{Heel}}: She's one of those cases where she is a natural heel in the ring - and prefers it. But she has a very exciting lucha libre style, and has good fire - which means she'll inevitably end up turning {{Face}} wherever she goes.
** HeelFaceTurn: This was exactly what happened in ''Shine''. Due to having unbelievably good matches, especially with Mia Yim, fans couldn't resist cheering for her - and she was kicked out of Valkyrie as a result.
* IHaveTheHighGround: She is a lucha libre veteran. However she's also able to wrestle a strong ground game and blast opponents with kicks as well.
* IKnowKarate: Is also trained in kick boxing and MMA.
* IWantYouToMeetAnOldFriendOfMine: Debuted in ''Lucha Underground'' by teaming with Son of Havoc - who was her fellow ''Tough Enough'' contestant Matt Cross.
* ImportantHaircut: Dyed her blonde hair brown after leaving WWE. She was apparently requesting to go brown while she was still there, feeling blonde hair didn't quite fit her character.
* KickChick: Known for having very stiff kicks.
* ScreamingWarrior: She was Paige's partner after all.
* SpicyLatina: If interviews are anything to go by, she's a natural example.
* TokenWholesome: Provided very little Fanservice while in WWE. She was still presented as sexy but not in an obvious way.
* {{Tomboy}}: A natural straight example. Tends to play this up in her wrestling too.
* WaifFu: Only 5"4' so she is this trope whenever she's against men.
* WeUsedToBeFriends: Defeated her former tag partner Paige on the first episode of NXT.
