** Arguably another candidate for the title of the strongest man would be Zack Fair, particularly if one goes by ''VideoGame/CrisisCore'' and its version of events. Already an exceptional SOLDIER with the might to casually take out entire groups of enemies and defeat Summons, Zack steadily grew stronger to the point of defeating Angeal and Genesis, who are two of the three best SOLDIER First Class -- made even more impressive by [[spoiler:how they are revealed to have been the Jenova Project's second greatest under only Sephiroth himself and were powered up into giant monsters at the time]]. While Cloud needed support from his friends to kill Bahamut SIN, Zack was able to defeat Bahamut Fury[[labelnote:note]]The power of the Bahamut is signified by their Si-prefix attack. As the strongest in the original game's Bahamut Zero uses Tera and Fury Exa, this implies that SIN had the intermediate Peta.[[/labelnote]] by himself with ease, suggesting he is even stronger than the entire party in their diminished state. The only character whose strength definitely surpasses his is Sephiroth, and even he had to put in a significant amount of his strength to beat Zack, who managed to last quite a while, a fact acknowledged by ''Hojo'', who is utterly obsessed with Sephiroth as his "perfect creation", as meaning Sephiroth, despite being insane, saw him as a WorthyOpponent, and according to ''Crisis Core'', wore Sephiroth down enough for Cloud to be able to defeat him in the first place. The opening of ''Ever Crisis'' even shows him standing up to Sephiroth, withstanding the Octaslash and landing his own Chain Slash that left Sephiroth reeling, whereas Cloud was easily defeated. Indeed, [[spoiler:''Rebirth'' has Sephiroth clearly trying to remove Zack from the equation as soon as possible and even pitting him against a projection of his monstrous form in an attempt to get rid of him (which he defeats with some help implied to be from Aerith, whereas it took five members of the party working together to destroy theirs, though the fact that they have two phases shows Sephiroth put more emphasis on that front), showing that even at his most arrogant, Sephiroth still saw Zack as a credible threat to himself]]. His last act was to take out hundreds of Shinra's goons, leaving only three, and [[spoiler:in ''Remake'' he even defeats them all and survives! After which, ''Rebirth'' shows he still has more than enough strength to take out an entire platoon of Shinra's warriors to save Aerith ''after he's dragged Cloud all the way to Midgar'']]. Overall, with Sephiroth hardly even able to be considered a human anymore, Zack is possibly the mightiest human in the series, both enhanced and unenhanced.

*** Yet another testament to Kratos's overwhelming power is that, in ''Valhalla'', through the sheer strength of his memories manifesting in Valhalla, Kratos was able to manifest the '''Blade of Olympus''' as one of his rage modes. To compare, Zeus needed a noticeable amount of time to create the Blade and was using the elements of the heavens and the earth to do so, but Kratos was able to manifest it instantly. In fact, this particular form of rage is the most stable and powerful form yet, showing how Kratos is so powerful that even the power to end a war between god-like beings is both within his grasp AND easily accessable.

** Kazuya Mishima, [[spoiler:after killing Heihachi, claims the title for himself, during his final fight against his father, he unlocks his new Devil form in order to defeat Heihachi. Even when he was tired out after fighting his father, he still had enough power to fight and possibly defeat Akuma. In ''VideoGame/Tekken8'' Kazuya gets even stronger, rather easily defeating Azazel the harbinger of the Devil Gene and absorbing him to become as powerful as possible. With this true devil form Kazuya curb stomps pretty much the entire cast and it takes an EleventhHourSuperpower in the form of Jin’s NextTierPowerUp Angel Jin gifted by Jun for him to decidedly match his father and manages to clense the Devil Gene from both of them. However even when BroughtDownToNormal Kazuya still largely dominates Jin and the latter fall back upon his {{Determinator}} resources to finally defeat his father and take this title from him.]]
** Paul Phoinex’s CharacterCatchphrase is that he’s ”The Strongest in the Universe” and while on the surface it’s meant to be an empty boost especially since Paul is TheChewToy among the cast he’s actually a genuine contender for the title — and is only rivalled by Heihachi and Jun when it comes to being the strongest non-Devil powered character! In Tekken 1 Paul could explicitly stalemate Kazuya and while he did lose their rematch in Tekken 2 it was only after a match that “lasted hours”. In Tekken 3 Paul went undefeated the entire tournament and actually beat “God of Fighting” Ancient Ogre whom almost killed a fighter as powerful as Jun, the only reason why Paul didn’t win the tournament outright is because Ancient Ogre went OneWingedAngel into True Ogre after he left Ogre’s temple. In later games a lack of training, being barred from the main plot and being fully reduced to a comic relief ButtMonkey prevents Paul from the chance to give Mishimas a run for their money again, even though it’s confirmed he has to potential to fight at their level. [[spoiler:Especially now that neither Kazuya or Jin have the Devil Gene.]]
** Jun Kazama is easily the strongest woman in TheVerse and while there’s technically more actively dangerous women like Nina and Anna they’re still leagues below Jun in terms of power. Her feats include beating Kazuya’s disembodied Devil Gene and as ''VideoGame/Tekken8'' she managed to defeat Ogre (though the strain of it did put her in a ConvenientComa for years). Pretty much the only two female fighters who rival Jun sheer power are the late Kazumi and Reina [[spoiler:due to their Devil power but the latter is still unlikely to win a fight against Jun due to the latter’s HolyHandGrenade powers.]] According to WordOfGod even her AnimalLover status is also meant to reflect Jun’s prowess as she has enough control of her aura not to scare the animals away from her.

*** As for if one is stronger than the other, ''Ragnarok'''s developers describe Odin as Kratos' most formidable opponent yet, although this doesn't necessarily make Odin stronger than Zeus; from what is seen, this declaration could very well be because of Odin's intelligence and ability to manipulate others, which creates a great deal of strife in Kratos' attempts to protect the Nine Realms and his allies. ** ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXVI'': Clive Rosfield eventually qualifies as the most powerful being in his universe. At the very least, Odin appears to make better use of magic in combat than Zeus does, but even then, Zeus knows how to use his more esoteric powers very well. Lastly, Zeus' [[SuperMode astral projection]], whatever it exactly was, could outright godly weapons, which is something Odin has never proven himself, although is said to be able to ''enchant'' items to withstand such weapons.

* ''VideoGame/TwistedWonderland'': Malleus Draconia is hailed as the world's most powerful magician due to his powers, which is why he's often feared by people around him. Do note that he's based on the [[WesternAnimation/SleepingBeauty Mistress of All Evil]] herself.

* In ''VideoGame/{{Fallout}}'', Frank Horrigan most definitely claims the title as the single most physically imposing and capable entity in the wastes. Already an extremely unhinged and borderline crazy BloodKnight, Horrigan was only made even more dangerous by falling into a vat of FEV and turning into a mutant abomination. The scientists of the Enclave then decided to make him even ''more'' dangerous by pumping him continuously full of combat drugs, giving him a custom suit of PowerArmor, and arming him with the most deadly weapons they can devise. (Which in their case is rapid-fire plasma casters) Not that he really needs them though, as he is seen in game ripping ''deathclaws'' apart with his bare hands. In a setting where the average human is lucky to get their hands on a solid and reliable firearm and some decent armor, Frank Horrigan is the sole example of what the pre-war American military always sought as it's end-goal: A 10 foot tall brute clad in PowerArmor that can shrug off missiles and armed with weapons that could punch a hole through a tank, and pumped full of drugs/medicine for good measure.

* ''VideoGame/LikeADragon'':
** The most prominent and dominant contender for the title of the strongest in the entire series would be Kazuma Kiryu, the legendary Dragon of Dojima, which is only further augmented by the fact that he is also the most skilled fighter. The infamously deadly Amon Clan specifically consider him to be the "ultimate lifeform" after he repeatedly proves too strong despite their usage of many deadly technology and being extremely strong fighters in their own right, not only casually besting the Amon siblings, but also being particularly despised yet also acknowledged by Jo Amon, the leader of the clan. Be it strength, resilience, and speed, Kiryu easily displays the greatest amount of physical power: He is capable of curb-stomping dozens of enemies, going as far as to take out buildings and 100 Tojo Clan members while hardly breaking a sweat, can readily handle dangerous real beasts without much effort, and being bitten and attacked by them doesn't do much. Bullets are also of little threat to him, as he can easily react to them with his body and even if he does get shot, he can shrug off explosions caused by missiles and has survived repeated lethal shots to the end. He is also able to overpower some of the most formidable fighters of the underworld, including legendary individuals and strong fighters in charge, most prominent examples including the likes of Ryuji Goda, who happens to also have the nickname of the Dragon of Kansai, meaning Kiryu, after having also handily defeated Keiji Shibusawa, is the "true dragon", Akira Nishikiyama and Masato Aizawa, despite fighting the latter two Koi tattooed Yakuza in a weakened state and their dedication to acquiring the strength to defeat him having made them rigorously train themselves, Daigo Dojima and Masaru Watase, the reigning heads of Tojo and Omi, with the former straight up admitting he was no match for him, and regularly defeats Goro Majima, a fellow yakuza legend with the title of the Mad Dog of Shimano. [[VideoGame/YakuzaLikeADragon Even after his time has passed and he's in his 50s]], Kiryu's strength is still prominent and overwhelming, as displayed when he quite casually handles Kasuga Ichiban, a rising dragon in his own right, and his group, imagined to be so powerful that he was like a real dragon, and when he is summoned as an ally, his strength can create a large dragon and slam it at the target to be among the most powerful attacks available.
** The other candidate is Taiga Saejima. He has no legendary title unlike Kiryu or his sworn brother Majima and his "legendary act" was done by surprise and using a gun rather than physical prowess... But even so, he quickly establishes himself as the most physically powerful character, with all his moves capitalizing on his insanely overwhelming strength and physical resilience, along with having the sufficient speed, even if he isn't particularly reliant on acrobatics or agility. Saejima's abilities as a playable character have him accomplishing feats that not only rival Kiryu, but also at times even exceed his, such as picking up vehicles and slamming them on others, stopping a speeding car to move out of the way, ripping off extremely thick objects and swinging and using them against enemies with ease, and even slamming the ground with enough force to cause a shockwave as well as being able to grab heavyset sumo enemies that can push aside even Kiryu. Story-wise, he is the only fighter thus far who is capable of reaching an actual stalemate with Kiryu in a fair, all-out battle, keeping up with him pretty well in their first fight despite being injured, and reaching a DoubleKnockout in their second fight. The only time where Kiryu can defeat him is the Victory Road Tournament Finals, which is of dubious canonicity. Overall, while who is truly more powerful cannot be accurately estimated, Saejima can still reliably be considered the only person who can contest Kiryu's spot as the strongest character in the series. Likewise to Kiryu, he's defeated an Amon Clan member and does it without breaking much of a sweat, and he's won against Majima in all their fights as well. During a fight against Kasuga Ichiban and his group, with him and Majima working together, while both were holding back, Saejima is shown to be visibly less affected by the fight and even confidently states he'll get serious, indicating like Kiryu, he could have wiped the floor with them without much effort either. As a poundmate, Saejima, like Kiryu, can actually induce a disaster-like attack with sheer power alone, causing a huge cyclone just by spinning a metal object.
