* One ''DextersLaboratory'' has Dexter help rebuild Dynomutt at Blue Falcon's request after a battle with a foe leaves Dynomutt badly damaged. Dexter does so, but once he finds out that Dynomutt's an idiot, he dumps him and builds a sleeker, NintiesAntiHero-type Dynomutt. When the robot goes berserk, Blue Falcon attempts to pull a IKnowYoureInThereSomewhereFight speech, only for Dexter to sheepishly admit that this Dynomutt wasn't ''his'' Dynomutt, that he wasn't "cool". Blue Falcon tells Dexter off for thinking that, just because Dynomutt was clumsy and stupid doesn't mean he wasn't "cool".

It gets worse in episode 27 when the gang--except for Daphne--reunites to stop a zombie clown, but because Daphne was not in the spot Fred calls for, the plan fails and the city is left in a fiery ruin.

* In the episode of ''WesternAnimation/AvatarTheLastAirbender'' "The Storm" an elderly fisherman calls out Aang on abandoning the world to 100 years of war (although the man is entirely unaware of the circumstances, and believes it to just be a result of cowardice and willful neglect of his duty as Avatar, which it was, up until the whole "frozen in an iceberg" bit). Katara gives the old man one of these in return after Aang runs off.

* Happens a bit in ''JusticeLeagueUnlimited'', in particular the episode "Clash". LexLuthor has, in an [[CivilianVillain attempt at genuine charity]], built a self-sustaining city for the homeless. Superman sees a device underground with a timer and sets out to destroy it, despite Lex's attempts to convince him that he's mistaken. Captain Marvel wisely disagrees and thinks they should call an expert in to see what the device really is. [[LetsYouAndHimFight Mayhem ensues]]. In the end the fight [[NiceJobBreakingItHero destroys the city]], and the device is revealed to be a kryptonite-powered generator. [[spoiler:It's later revealed that this was a BatmanGambit by Lex Luthor to discredit Superman, by manipulating [[ParanoiaGambit Superman's distrust of Luthor]].]] The whole fiasco made Captain Marvel verbally tear the [[TheMagnificentSevenSamurai Original Seven]] a new one before resigning:
