''Winsome Witch'' is a character created by Creator/HannaBarbera for ''The WesternAnimation/SecretSquirrel Show'', though she also sometimes appeared on ''WesternAnimation/TheAtomAntShow''. The cartoon is a unique example of a ThreeShorts Hanna-Barbera feature that stars a human instead of a FunnyAnimal, and the only female to be the main protagonist of her short. She was voiced by Creator/JeanVanderPyl, best remembered for her work as [[WesternAnimation/TheFlintstones Wilma Flintstone]], as well as Rosie on ''WesternAnimation/TheJetsons''.

** In some of the earliest episodes, Winnie isn't above "helping" someone by harming another, as seen in the second episode "Prince of a Pup" (where she makes a poison apple for Snow White at the behest of the Evil Queen).

** "Wolfcraft Vs. Witchcraft" is a riff on ''Literature/TheThreeLittlePigs''. Here Winnie uses her powers to provide protection for the three pigs. She manages to thwart the Big Bad Wolf by giving him conjuring powers (which he fouls up badly), then earns the wolf's gratitude when she shows him how to use them properly. The wolf is so thankful that he becomes the Big Good Wolf.

I feel her being female is more noteworthy then her not having a sidekick. It's quite common for these characters not to have a sidekick. Huckleberry Hound, Snagglepus, Magilla Gorilla, Squiddly Diddly, Wally Gator.... Just to name a few.

''Winsome Witch'' is a character created by Creator/HannaBarbera for ''The WesternAnimation/SecretSquirrel Show'', though she also appeared on ''WesternAnimation/TheAtomAntShow''. She was voiced by Creator/JeanVanderPyl, best known for her work as [[WesternAnimation/TheFlintstones Wilma Flintstone]].

Known as "Winnie" to friend and foe alike, she's chubby, middle-aged, and generally good-natured and friendly. On the GoodWitchVersusBadWitch scale, she definitely falls in the former category. Like Esmeralda or Aunt Clara from ''Series/{{Bewitched}}'', Winnie unfortunately has an incompetent streak, her spells backfiring more often than not. Her incantation catchphrase is "Ippity-pippity-pow!"
