* ArtShift: A regular feature of the show's style is depicting the [=BotBots=] in wide shots as little pegs color-coded to their intended character known by the show's production staff as "Pill-Bots".

* CanonForeigner: Many of the characters, including Ulf the Orange, Lady Macaron, most of the Custodial Crew and Jacqueline.

* EverybodyLaughsEnding: Done at the end of "(Never) Be Yourself" when the lostbots burst into laughter after Burgertron slips in some oil and makes a #CuteKittens joke.

* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Burgertron gives this to Spud Muffin after he shoves Dimlit in "The Goldrush Games".

* WomenAreWiser: Kikmee and Bonz-Eye are, by are large, more sensible that the guys.

When the leader of the Hunger Hubs, Burgertron, accidentally discovers the Lost Bots, they run afoul of the mall security guard, and in turn become pariahs for breaking the sacred rule of the mall. Now, the Lost Bots, with Burgertron now among them, must attempt to ingratiate to themselves into the other squads and hopefully find the place they belong.

** First off is Dimlit with Clogstopper driving, they don't get far when Clogstopper [[AccidentallyPutitInReverse drives backward into a wall]], not even caring about what just happened.

When a shopping mall is struck by lightning from an energon cloud, the various ordinary objects within it are given life and become the race of tiny transforming robots known as [=BotBots=]. By day, they hide in plain sight, but by night, they emerge from hiding and get into all sorts of adventures. These tiny bots have organized themselves into squads based on their stores of origin, but some were left in the lost-and-found when the surge occurred and are considered myths by others.

* AdaptedOut: Most of the characters in the toyline are absent here. In particular, only eight of the Lost Bots show up compared to the twenty five of the toyline's counterpart. With Game Over being moved to the Gamer Geeks, Frostferatu over to the Sugar Shocks, and Ol' Tic Toc being independent of the tribes altogether.

** "Crime and Bun-ishment" has a bit using real life food to represent Burgertron and Sprinkleberry in the supposed security footage the characters come across.

* KillItWithFire: The Lost Bots decide the best way to solve the issue of Dave's phone is throw it in the fiery dumpster. [[spoiler:It turns out to be another [=BotBot=], who is understandably furious at them.]]

* TheMall: Happens entirely inside one, with the Transformers being little ones disguised as mundane items from the different stores. The show does somewhat acknowledge the overall decline of malls, having an episode that takes place mostly in an entire wing full of creepy, out of business stores. [[spoiler: Which is where Spud Muffin's banished when his evil's exposed in the finale.]]

* TooDumbToLive: Pretty much all the squads in "Science Alliance". Even when the Science Squad provide mathematical proof that all their partying is damaging the air conditioning, steadily raising the heat to lethal levels, no-one listens, and insist on partying ''even more'' just to spite them.

* YouDontLookLikeYou: A majority of the [=BotBots=] were given redesigns that make them less clunky, which also gave the change of them not looking like their toys for a majority of them. Frostferatu possibly has the most drastic change, looking more vampiric than his toy design.
** Bonz-Eye and Clogstopper also get extensive redesigns compared to their toys. The former looking more boyish, while the latter inverts the plunger head so that it's pointing upwards instead.
** In the Toy line Snorg turns into a Tape player but in the show, he turns into a Karaoke machine.

** Burgertron is monumentally self-focused and self-absorbed, but he can generally be counted upon to do the right thing eventually.

* AnimalSweetOnObject: [[SubvertedTrope Subverted]]. One episode is about Dimlit falling in love with a mannequin from a clothes store, whom he affectionately calls "Jacqueline" and claims she doesn't talk out of shyness. Burgertron and Kikmee, rightfully creeped out, connive to "break them up" to try saving Dimlit's sanity, and end up shipping the mannequin away. When they see how broken up Dimlit is, they manage to get the head back. [[spoiler: As it turns out, Jacqueline actually is a Transformer just like them (whose alt mode turns out to be just the mannequin's ''head'') who really is in love with Dimlit, and never said anything when the others were around because [[CassandraTruth she actually was too shy]].]]

* AnimalSweetOnObject: One episode's about Dimlit falling in love with a mannequin from a clothes store. The others connive to "break them up" to try to save Dimlit's sanity, and end up shipping the mannequin away. When they see how broken up Dimlit is, they manage to get the head back. [[spoiler: Which turns out to be a Transformer just like them who really is in love with Dimlit. She just never said anything when the others were around because she's too shy.]]

* OneHundredPercentAdorationRating: Everyone loves Sprinkleberry. Which is why [[spoiler:Spud Muffin]] makes it look like Burgertron caused his death in a frame-up, knowing everyone will be too enraged to stop and care about the evidence.

* AmbiguousRobots: It's hard to tell where the robot part even begins for the Botbots made of food or plants. With Burgertron still spurting ketchup and mustard when smacking into a wall, Spud Muffin leaving behind fry grease, and Ulf and Lady Macaron still being semi-edible in alt mode. To say nothing about how Vomit Comet is a living pile of puke.

* BodyHorror: In "The Science Alliance", Sweet Cheat's face is shown to be visibly melting into a blob, [[EyeScream including both of his eyes]], after being pointed out by Face Ace. To which he both scoffs at and denies.

* {{Cliffhanger}}: [[spoiler: Somebody actually did listen to that voicemail Dave left at a government agency, and wants to ask him some questions about the story he told about seeing little robots running around...]]
