* AdaptationalNameChange: According to a few official sources, Hermione Bagwa's first name would have been changed to "Harmony" for the series, possibly to avoid confusion with [[Literature/HarryPotter that other fictional character named "Hermione"]].

* AscendedExtra: Hermione Bagwa (the blonde waitress at Dex's Diner) has a pretty prominent {{comic relief}} role in the leaked episode, even being teased as [[PromotedToLoveInterest a possible love interest of Boba Fett]]; she's also seen interacting with Obi-Wan in one clip, suggesting that she would have been a {{recurring character}}. Impressive, considering she was originally a background character in ''Film/AttackOfTheClones'' with less than ten seconds of screentime, and didn't say a word.

* BrattyHalfPint: Leia and Boba Fett are inexplicably portrayed this way. The Stormtroopers also look like bobbleheads for some reason.

* DirtyOldMan: The Emperor is apparently quite the womanizer. He spend his free time going on singles cruises, and deliberately spreads rumors that he dates Twi'lek models. All the more hilarious, since Creator/SethMcFarlane's voice for him is markedly similar to the one he uses for [[WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy Glenn Quagmire]].

* AgeLift: Leia is only a teenager (or possibly a pre-teen) in the series, while Han is around the same age that he was in the movies, even though the series is (apparently) supposed to take place shortly before [[Film/ANewHope the original]] ''Franchise/StarWars''. [[RuleOfFunny Don't think too hard about it.]]

Added DiffLines:

* LikeAnOldMarriedCouple: Han and Chewie are humorously portrayed this way, riffing on their HeterosexualLifePartners relationship in the movies. In one of the leaked clips, Chewie gets angry at Han for being late to dinner, and the two of them end up having an argument that resembles a lover's quarrel.

Added DiffLines:

* RuleOfFunny: The entire series runs on this. It makes absolutely ''no'' pretense of being set in the continuity of the actual ''Franchise/StarWars'' films, and many of the characters are portrayed drastically differently than they were in the movies for the sake of humor.

* VillainWithGoodPublicity: It seems that Vader and Palpatine's overarching goal throughout the series would have been to promote the Empire as a friendly, marketable corporation. They attempt to disguise the Death Star as a "space mall". It somehow works, for a little while at least.

From the braintrust of Creator/SethMacFarlane and the writers of ''WesternAnimation/RobotChicken'' was born ''Star Wars Detours'', a ''Franchise/StarWars'' animated gag series in the vein of the ''LEGO Star Wars'' animations and the ''Star Wars'' skits in ''Robot Chicken''.

First announced at Celebration VI in 2012, the production of the series was then postponed in 2013 before being cancelled, with Lucasfilm and Disney being concerned over what image it would cast on the franchise following the latter's formal acquisition in 2014 and the then-upcoming Sequel Trilogy.

In 2021, with the leak of a ''Detours'' episode, speculation arose again, this time over the possibility of a Creator/DisneyPlus release, though co-creator Creator/SethGreen has [[https://ew.com/tv/star-wars-detours-disney-lucasfilm-seth-green/ denied the likeliness of it, citing no interest from Lucasfilm to do so]].

[[https://geektyrant.com/news/2013/9/20/update-on-the-star-wars-detours-animated-series According to Seth Green]], by September 2013, 39 episodes had been completed and an 62 additional scripts had been completed.
