She forbids her friends from entering her room in fear of being exposed. This is actually heavily implied in the show proper, but never touched upon. ** Kin is an expert in pyrotechnics, while Kon's ditzy qualities are actually a case of ObfuscatingStupidity.

Notably however, when the band does songs in genres outside their usual pop rock style, they often have different designated instruments; for instance, in both of the show's country songs, Corey uses a banjo, Laney uses a washtub bass, and Kin uses a washboard. Laney also has a violin she uses in a few songs while Kin utilizes the turntable on several occasions.

* AuthorAppeal: Why the show exists actually. Todd Kauffman has said that his inspiration for the show was simply that he had always wanted to make a cartoon about a garage band. And while he really liked the idea, for the longest time he had no idea how to make it unique and interesting... until he decided the main character should get the inspiration for their songs from his sister's diary. And when he pitched it to Creator/FreshTV, tey absolutely loved that idea, and the rest is history as they say.

Grojband debuted on June 10, 2013 on Cartoon Network in the United States and came to Canada on Teletoon in September 5, 2013. The series suffered from some rather wonky scheduling during its time on air, with only the first 13 episodes being shown in 2013 and the rest of the first season being delayed for nearly two years. The remaining episodes finally arrived on TV on February 22, 2015 on Creator/Boomerang, but the show's cancellation was announced shortly afterwards. At only 26 episodes, it is Fresh TV's shortest-lived standalone series. Nonetheless, it retains a small but deeply loyal fanbase.
