* [[HeWhoFightsMonsters She Who Hunts Demons:]] Charity's heavy-handed interrogation of Pandora-glamoured Chloe is enough for Zachuriel to put his foot down on it (Charity causes Chloe's bonds to constrict, almost choking her before Zachuriel ends it).

* SomeAnvilsNeedToBeDropped: Heaven's policy of keeping their angels naive and ignorant (particularly when it comes to sex) allows the demons to run rings around them.

* MarkOfTheBeast: When the demonic statue contacts Teddy, he immediately receives a pentacle on the back of his left hand. Later it fades out of view.

* GenderBender: Trying to cure Teddy's cold with Chloe's blood results in him turning in to her, and then slowly changing back as he metabolizes the blood. Later [[spoiler: Pandora injects him with a half dose to keep Chloe from uncontrollably ravaging him to death out of hunger, which is followed by Alchemy injecting him with their own blood to see if it would turn him in to a copy of them. The ectoplasmic blood unexpectedly stabilizes the succubi blood, and Teddy ends up experiencing an extended period of this.]]

* IncestSubtext: Teddy's younger sister sometimes gives off this vibe; like when she has Chloe transform into an older, bustier version of herself in a bikini, and then has her hug Teddy as revenge for his mockery of her. It doesn't help that in her first appearance in the comic she accuses Teddy of adultery when she sees him in bed with Chloe. However, it is stated that Abby doesn't understand the definition of the word "adultery."

** Self professed lesbian Lacy is perfectly willing to [[spoiler: give Teddy a handjob]] because she figures it will probably be her only opportunity to see how a penis works.

* BlandNameProduct: Alchemy's [[IncrediblyLamePun DiePod]], which is not just a kickass music player, it has a DeathTracker app that tells her whenever anyone in her vicinity is likely to die. Teddy is not happy to learn that his name pops up a lot and she doesn't actually worry about him until the probability exceeds 50 percent.

* EasySexChange: Teddy justifies his sudden GenderBender into "Teddi" by claiming he somehow managed to undergo a complete surgical sex change over the weekend and replies "he was a ''very'' good surgeon" When Naomi calls him out on the preposterous nature of his claim.

* SexShifter: Alchemy, as an anthropomorphic representation of Death, can appear male or female depending upon how he/she feels at the moment.

** Lacy professes to be a lesbian, but has [[spoiler:absolutely no problem getting to third base]] with Teddy.

* FantasticRacism: The angels don't like succubi or those who associate with them. The succubi, for their part, just think the angels are idiots.
