!!''Bendy and Boris: Quest For The Ink Machine'' provides examples of:

* AdaptedOut: Elder Kettle is nowhere to be seen in this comic, his role of Cuphead and Mugman's father figure being handed to Black Hat from Villainous.
* AdaptationalHeroism: Bendy is moody and sarcastic but not malicious or vengeful like in the games. He is also very protective of his younger brother Boris.
* AdaptationalJerkass: Cuphead is misguided yet heroic in his original game, but in this comic series he's rude and brash.
* AdaptationalVillainy: Cuphead and Mugman are sent to kill Bendy and Boris by the Devil, but are less reluctant to destroy their enemies than in the games.
* AgeLift: Boris is aged down to twelve years old whilst Cuphead and Mugman's ages are much less vague in this comic, both clearly being adults.
* BigBrotherInstinct: Bendy is very protective of Boris and even tries to fake that his illness is getting better just so Boris won't worry about him. Meanwhile Cuphead is mean towards his brother Mugman but loves him deep down, breaking down when he accidentally shoots him.
* DeathByAdaptation: Ortensia is dead at the start of the introduction of her husband Oswald, as she was killed by the ink illness.
* IntergenerationalFriendship: Boris with both Mickey Mouse and Mugman, both being adults while Boris is a child.
* SuddenlySpeaking: Oswald is complete mute due to not wanting to talk after losing his wife. However, he ended up speaking to Mickey when he was feeling down about being unable to help everyone.
