Given that Megami is implied to have spent her entire life going through TrainingFromHell, having her status suddenly yanked away would do some serious damage, leading her to either leave Akademi or be DrivenToSuicide, depending on how you play your cards. On the other side, it would give her an ample shot at rebelling against her conservative family and call them out for cutting her aunt loose for her socially liberal views.
