With Jack's talk with Liz at the beginning of "Double Edged Sword" spoke of how she should be careful of dating someone like her. Let's look at the facts;
1) Both take the rules far too seriously (Carol took it to almost KnightTemplar levels with his position as Captain of the plane).
2) Liz tries to fire a woman for dating the guy she like back in season one.
3) She constantly puts herself in the center of the universe and treats her problems as bigger than they really are while the writing staff are more well adjusted and laid back (whom she always views as morons) while having slight self-centered tendencies.
Really, be thankful she didn't get a higher level job like manager of NBC or Carol isn't a wall street executive.
