** This would make a lot of sense actually. Sans a few (like the above, etc.) most have plenty of room to have regular-ish names or are in positions where a regular name would make ''more'' sense (for example, Wham-Shell's father is named "Roland" so it would be very jarring to have his son be given an abnormal name). I can see that being the case for a good amount of them. Plus, not using your real name when dealing with evil forces is always a plus.

[[WMG: The Skylanders' names (save for Spyro and Cynder) are nicknames.]]
* It makes sense, given the punny nature of the names, and how some Skylanders (such as Ignitor and Drobot) haven't been that way all their lives. It could also refer to occupation such as Gill Grunt being a grunt of the gillmen. Given that their battle cries have an in-canon explanation as being Skylander tradition, it wouldn't be surprising if their names were chosen upon entry to the Skylanders too.

The first games mention Elder Elementals, powerful ancient Skylanders. The Giants so far revealed all have elemental appearances and are more powerful than the normal characters, so it would make sense.

He says he has memories of the darkness threatening the Skylands before. And the last time that happened was when the first Skylanders, the giants, first came together. Maybe Tree Rex unconciously sent a small part of his soul to that tree-flower thing in the ruins to subtly help the new skylanders with Kaos.

Kaos resents his other siblings so he has fake portraits with them removed in his castle. This also can explain his mother's different appearance -- being as egotistical as he is he probably had her pictured to look more like him.

The reason we don't get a trappable Magic Doom Raider in Trap Team is because she's still healing from the beatdown we gave her back in ''Swap Force''.

Kaos's abilities fit the Magic element. A last minute element switch would also explain why in the final game Magic is the only element with less than four villains and no doom raider. As for why this switch was made, the boring but logical answer is that the developers knew it would mean more money. The Magic trap was cheap and easily found. The Kaos trap was more expensive.

If he saved the Skylanders and their allies in Superchargers almost at the cost of his own life what's stopping him from fully betraying Kaos and joining the Skylanders for good?! He isn't really a villain and the only time he sort of was is when he got evilized so he's not fully responsible for his actions during the level you fight him in. And in the final levels of ''Trap Team'' and ''Imaginators'' he just challenges you to a ''completely optional'' game of Skystones Smash or Creation Clash and he actually enjoys playing with the Skylander.

Perhaps he would realize he's not happy working with Kaos and eventually betray him, bonus points if he gives [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech a rant about how much of a horrible boss he is]].

Great numbers of them are seen in the Time of the Giants level of ''Giants'', which takes place 10,000 years before the main games. The only other time they are seen, only small groups are seen in the Golden Desert level of ''Trap Team'', and one of them is a trappable villain, while all of them are {{Mooks}} working under the Golden Queen.
