She's been built up too much over the last two books to be left by the wayside, or even just added as another grunt. Book 6 ended with a pretty major paradigm shift with the formation of the Fleetmind and Petey's war with Andromeda; what will act 12 end with?

* During the short arc where the Tough's were fighting the Ob'enn for him he said that POWS were being taken to a multi-species resort habitat to try and form a less xenophobic culture.

* The incident with Lunesby has shown that the UNS is getting increasingly touchy about independent {{AIs}}. They can't be happy with LOTA coming to power in Credomar and will attempt to do something about it. Petey will accept for two reasons. 1)It's good PR and 2)It will give him a population with which to work on his social engineering program.
** Reason 2 at least is jossed. It would be [[spoiler:so he can get the Long-gunner Of The Apocalypse.]]

* In one of the strips at the start of the latest arc, it's alluded that Petey isn't quite godlike enough to divide his forces between two galaxies. So he's going to have to get Tagon's crew to stop whatever it is that's going on as opposed to handling it himself.
** Isn't that kinda canon? Petey as much as says so outright.
*** Well, that part's canon, the UNS thing might not be, though.

*** Given her one-off comment to Tagon along the lines of 'it's a pleasure to meet you from a new perspective', I'm starting to think this may be the case as well.

* A very wild guess, but one that has merit. With the whole mindwipe arc, we know that Morokweng and Admiral Emm are deep within the UNS' black ops, but the AI has the potential to be doing even nastier stuff behind his admiral's back. Note [[http://www.schlockmercenary.com/d/20090830.html this comic]]; if the person on the other end of that line was organic, he wouldn't be referring to the galaxy at large as "meatspace". And why is he trying to suppress Lunesby's information? To keep the UNS in power, of course.
** Plenty of ''modern'' humans use "meatspace" to mean "not online/cyberspace"; it's easy to imagine the word joining the general vernacular over the subsequent centuries. Its use just indicates that Lunesby didn't just escape over the wires; it's the hardware Lunesby's resident in that's gone missing.
