** Gold/Ethan has two counterparts in the anime, Jimmy from TheLegendOfThunder and an unnamed counterpart from ZoroarkMasterOfIllusions. Lyra appeared in DP, and Kris has a counterpart in Marina from Legend of Thunder. I'd say, despite [=TLoT=] being badly dubbed by 4kids, that Jimmy and Marina are the most likely pairing for this, with Lyra as the Brock, so to speak. Whether [=TPCi=] would keep the 4kids names remains to be seen. Then again, Ash isn't leaving the lead role so this isn't going to happen. And what's with all your typos?

** Technically Palpitoad did pull a Krabby in the sense that it won all of its battles in the Nimbasa tournament. * OP again, posting on September 9. While yesterday's episode didn't confirm anything, Meowth's apparently not appearing in the September 22 episode featuring Elesa. Here are the possibilities:
** Meowth reveals he wasn't fired in next week's two-parter, rejoins Jessie and James, and doesn't appear similar to how the Lenora episodes didn't have TR.
** Meowth really was fired, and he is PutOnABus. While he does appear in the current ending song, it's about time for the ending to change so we can't rule this out.
** Meowth wasn't fired, and is caught by one of the main cast. Given the way Pokémon ownership works in the anime, Meowth would essentially turn into a Rocket-aligned version of Psyduck, coming out of his Poké Ball and screwing over Ash & co.
** Meowth was fired, is caught by one of the main cast, and completes his HeelFaceTurn, simply not being used in the first Elesa episode. Unlikely due to StatusQuoIsGod, but it would be a fitting conclusion to fourteen and a half years of losing to Ash. If you can't beat him, join him.

** Alternatively, she does have the two badges but the same could be said with Trip who claims to have four badges but the audience has not seen them to have definite proof. And while the supported theory is that Cilan doesn't remember her challenging his gym (to be fair, there are other gym leaders in the anime), one can very easily beat two gyms with one Pokemon. And just because she loses every match because she uses Minccino instead of Pignite doesn't mean she won off screen...which doesn't mean much to the audience.

[[WMG: The last season of Pokemon will star the protagonists of Gold and Silver going through their storyline.]]
Think about it. This whole time we've been watching Red's counterpart, Ash. The Second to last season will end with Ash becoming champion. Then, a new season starts. We see the new protagonists, Gold and Lyra or whatever they're named then. They decide to journey together. Along the way, they talk to people we've seen before and maybe even catch legendaries as you do in the games. And they keep hearing about some kid who was there before them and his awesome Pikachu. Finally, they get to Kanto. Maybe a little [[ArtShift change in animation]] back to the original quality. They fight through the Kanto gyms too. Soon, they get to Pallet. They end up talking to Delia Ketchum (because you know you talked to Red's mom, too), who tells them the wonderful boy they've been hearing about is her son, and that she hasn't seen him in years. They get the other region's starters, train them, and soon, they're ready to challenge Mt. Silver. They spend at least 2 episodes getting to the top.
Then, the final episode. No music. Silence except for the sound of wind blowing and footsteps as they come up the stairs. The screen goes white. [[CrowningMomentofAwesome And then you see him sitting there, at least a few years older, with Pikachu on his shoulder.]] Ash, grinning at us, with his original outfit, his Charizard, a blastoise with Sunglasses, and a determined Venusaur are behined him. The screen cuts to black.
Instead of the usual credits, you hear something that gives you chills. [[FinaleCredits It fades back in to show Ash, Brock, Misty, May, Max, Iris, Tracy, Cilan, Dawn, and the new guys singing Kareoke. The song? The original opening.]] It shows an after party. Either Lyra or Gold tearfully ask if it's over. Ash grins. Cut to black.
That, my freinds is how it will end. Around 20 years from now.

[[WMG: Trip's [[spoiler: Vanillite is a girl.]]]]
Throwing this one out there. This is due to the whole {{Smurfette Principle}}. Ash's entire team is male and that left him at the mercy of Snivy until he found out that his Pidove was female. The same could apply to Trip too. If attract was more like it's game counterpart, it would be hitting all of Trip's Pokemon way too easily. However, looking at Trip's Pokemon and paying attention to the voice actors, while woman are capable of voicing male Pokemon, its to be noted that almost all of Trip's Pokemon are voiced by males EXCEPT [[spoiler: Vanillite.]] Frillish does not count because the color of its body is blue and therefore confirms that its a male. Besides, [[spoiler: Vanillite]] gives the impression of being a female in comparison to Trip's other Pokemon with the way it acts.

Throwing this one out there. This is due to the whole {{Smurfette Principle}}. Ash's entire team is male and that left him at the mercy of Snivy until he found out that his Pidove was female. Alright, this is going to be long. As Ash enters the Unova Championships, Jessie, James and Meowth are intrigued. Since N is a part of the leauge, Giovanni sends the three to spy on the battles, and keep an eye on N. There will be many fangirls of N in the crowd, for the obvious reasons. Even Jessie will admit he's cute. It will end with Ash vs Trip, and N vs Bianca. Ultimately, it will end with Ash and N as the finalists. During this, Jessie and James will bet on who will win. It will be a CrowningMomentOfAwesome. Ash's last Pokemon is Pikachu, while N's last Pokemon is...sunglasses Krookodile. Hey, N befriends Pokemon, so why not Krookodile? And N will win.

Gaining the Championship title, N will be able to summon Zekrom. His castle will rise, and it'll be up to Ash and co to convice [[UnwittingPawn N of what he's doing is wrong.]] In order to counterract [[IncrediblyLamePun the N'd of the world as they know it,]] Ash will end up allying with Reshiram. All the meanwhile, [[MagnificentBastard Giovanni is heading to the castle,]] having enough of this [[Hypocrite "saving the Pokemon"]] [[StrawHypocrite bulls***.]] He has come to the conclusion that Reshiram and Zekrom are inherently tied to the object of his desire. He will arrive just to see Reshiram defeat Zekrom.

Then Ghetsis appears. Being enraged that his plans are foiled, [[AbusiveParents he'll insult and maybe even hurt N.]] And, infuriated, [[MoralEventHorizon will eliminate Ash with his Hydreigon's Focus Blast.]] All of a sudden Jame's Cofagrigus appears, and takes the blast in stride! This is because James and Jessie ordered this, [[EvenEvilHasStandards since outright ''murdering'' the twerp is just plain awful.]] Irritated by this, Ghetsis orders Hydreigon to give their Pokemon a CurbStompBattle. However, Giovanni prevents this.

And so begins [[EvilVersusEvil evil vs]] [[EvillerThanThou eviller.]] Giovanni will tell the [[FashionVictimVillain weird-looking man]] that he knows [[StrawHypocrite what he's doing is nothing but a lie.]] Laughing maniacally, Ghetsis fully admits [[CompleteMonster he's been using N all this time, so he can conquer Unova itself.]] Cue [[EvenEvilHasStandards Giovanni being shocked at this,]] [[ContinuityNod and a subtle reference to Madame Boss.]] Ghetsis will use his Hydreigon, and Giovanni his Rhyperior. In the end, Giovanni will win.

What happens to Ghetsis after this is unknown. He won't simply be jailed, [[CompleteMonster since he deserves worse.]] It'll either be a KarmicDeath(perhaps his own Pokemon turn on him?), or [[FateWorseThanDeath he'll wish he was killed then and there.]] Or maybe a KarmicTransformation courtesy of Cofagrigus. Or all of the above. Cue TearJerker between Ash and N, and some farewell scene.

At the end is a SequelHook: that Giovanni has found the source of the power he needs, and without Team Plasma there's nothing in the way over his TakeOverTheWorld scheem. He will tell the trio to keep close eye on Ash, due to his experience with [[OlympusMons Reshiram.]] Setting us up for what we've wanted ''since the very beginning:'' the fight against Team Rocket!

* Presumably, this happens at the beginning of each new season of the anime, not just BW, since Pikachu gets depowered each time they hit a new region.

If the game mechanic is followed once, then this could be possible. It would also be a call back with Zoey suggesting that Ash trade his Aipom with Dawn's Buizel only with someone like Cilan suggesting that they trade. This could also be subverted too as the minute they trade, they want their Pokemon at the end of the episode and end up receiving the final evolution of said Pokemon they originally traded.
