* The villain will be Edward "Monks" Leeford from the original Creator/CharlesDickens [[Literature/OliverTwist novel]], but reimagined as a vicious crime lord. ([[MythologyGag who likely had connections with Sykes]])
** Unlike in the book, where he was a DirtyCoward who let his goons do all the work for him out of fear of being apprehended, here he will [[AdaptationalBadass actively take part in crimes himself and the police are the least of his worries]].

** He'll take everything that made Sykes such a [[KnightOfCerebus terrifying villain]] and [[VilerNewVillain crank it up to eleven]] by having all of his crimes shown on-screen (or at least showing visible evidence of them) and being [[MoralEventHorizon particularly heinous in nature]]. Bonus points if he ends up being a CompleteMonster.

* Fagin: Creator/JimCummings: His actual appearance does look a bit scruffy enough for him to play the role of a bum, plus with all the voiceover work he's done for Disney over the decades, it'd be fitting for him to finally have a live-action role (I'd imagine he'd use something similar to his Bonkers voice for the role).

* Disney cameos will include [[WesternAnimation/TheLionKing1994 Simba]], [[WesternAnimation/{{Aladdin}} Princess Jasmine]], [[WesternAnimation/{{Zootopia}} Nick Wilde]], and [[WesternAnimation/LadyAndTheTramp Lady]]. ** Monks will be a personal foe for Jenny much like how Sykes was for Fagin. And it will hit even worse since she's [[WouldHurtAChild only a kid]] and isn't a ButtMonkey. If Monks has poor Jenny [[BreakTheCutie sobbing uncontrollably after all the hell he's put her through]], expect the audience to [[HateSink want his blood]].
** Monks will take everything that made Sykes such a [[KnightOfCerebus terrifying villain]] and [[VilerNewVillain crank it up to eleven]] by having all of his crimes shown on-screen (or at least visible evidence of them) and being [[MoralEventHorizon particularly heinous in nature]]. Bonus points if he ends up being a CompleteMonster.

** Much like how Sykes was the bane of Fagin's existence, Monks will be the bane of Jenny's existence. But whereas there was at least some form of comedy with [[ButtMonkey Fagin]], NONE of that will be present with [[TheWoobie Jenny]]. Whenever Monks [[BreakTheCutie piles misery on the poor girl]], it'll be so painful to watch that you'll just want to give her a hug and [[HateSink punch the bastard in the face]]. Bonus points if he's a CompleteMonster like [[WesternAnimation/TheLionKing1994 Scar]] or [[WesternAnimation/TheHunchbackOfNotreDameDisney Judge Claude Frollo]].
** And because he was the actual BigBad of the book, Monks will be revealed to have been an associate of Sykes.

* Special emphasis will be given to Jenny, whose relationship with her parents will be explored.

But whereas there was at least some form of comedy with [[ButtMonkey Fagin]], NONE of that will be present with [[TheWoobie Jenny]]. They would regularly get invited to the Northwest Fest due to their high status but hated attending it due to the Northwests being colossal {{Jerkass}}es. Likewise, [[AlphaBitch Pacifica]] would regularly pick on [[LonelyRichKid Jenny]] for expressing sympathy for people from the lower classes. After a cruel incident in which Jenny was publicly humiliated in front of the party guests and reduced to tears, the Foxworths angrily severed ties with the Northwests and vowed never to attend any events by them again.
