* DummiedOut: There's TONS of this stuff in the game's files. These include unused artwork, voice clips, and even empty folders that suggest scrapped characters.

Not long after Act I was released, it was revealed that one member of the design team was [[http://www.fillygamez.com/2012/09/sabotaged.html intentionally sabotaging the project]], but overwhelming fan response convinced the makers to continue.

In Febuary 2013 [[http://www.fillygamez.com/2013/02/its-been-fun.html Filly Gamez announced]] that due to negative feedback and a renewed sabotage incident (which coincidentally occurred on the same day as the release of the aforementioned Flash port) Filly Gamez had put Act 2 on hold and closed their doors for an indefinite period of time (though a later edit to the announcement noted that they weren't dead, and that there may yet be a glimmer of hope for the project).

* BrownNote: The creepy bells in the nightmare sequences can apparently pull this off in RealLife for noise sensitive people; the reviewer at ''[[http://www.equestriagaming.com/2012/09/review-welcome-to-ponyville-act-1.html Equestria Gaming]]'' mentions their having caused long-lasting pain (which may or may not have affected the low score given). Of course, most players have been unaffected.

* LetsSplitUpGang: The protagonist eventually insists on this when searching the Everfree Forest with Fluttershy. (S)he say it's to cover more ground looking for Angel Bunny, but since (s)he doesn't know his/her way around and has no delusions about the forest ''not'' being dangerous and was quite worried about that just previously, it seems like a case of the IdiotBall. Naturally, it serves a plot purpose.

** At one point, Spike asks you to do a solid for him. You reply that [[RegularShow he should not abuse the power of solids.]]

* ProductPlacement: There's an EquestriaDaily newspaper in Trixie's wagon.

Welcome to Ponyville is a {{WesternAnimation/My Little Pony Friendship is Magic}} fan-game in the style of a visual novel. The player takes the role of a new pony moving in to Ponyville. Expecting a simple, easy move, they soon realize that everything is not what it seems in the little town.

** Sethiso's voice is an obvious parody of BatMan.

* WhatTheHellHero: Considering you have the option of being a complete jerk, you can naturally wind up on the receiving end of this. She is understandably NOT happy about it.]]

* BreakingTheFourthWall: When the PC meets Pinkie Pie, she manages to be positioned right in front of the LetterBox.
