Aoba's always found it odd how dropping his voice to a certain inflection could drive people to call up the shop he's working at to hear it again and again, buying Heibon's mechanical goods every time. But hey, it does its job, so why not make use of it?

So he does, managing to pass his time in peace until a certain trio of rambunctious children decide that it's the perfect time to run in and wreck havoc all over the seemingly rarely-visited shop (with a physical presence, that is), until (or rather, if) he finds some way to put a stop to it...for the day. Nonetheless, it cannot be denied...

That this is the story of a time far in the future.

In Midorijima, an island southwest of Japan.

When a world leader in the market, Toue Company, purchases it, very little can be done by its inhabitants. What coexistence there once was between its people and the lush nature prevalent throughout is abruptly cut off, and all those who do not leave the island at Toue Company's suggestion are eventually made to move to a corner of the island, to a place called the Old Resident District, after Toue forcibly clears out their lands. All those who have left have left. All those who have stayed cannot leave, unless they receive Toue's permission, and Toue, well.

They will not give permission.

It is said that this was the punishment given by the head of Toue Company, in his vexation that the people of the island refused to listen to his words. Soon after clearing away most of the island's habitation, Toue begins construction of what will come to be known as a lavish and luxurious and all-in-all extravagent amusement facility called Platinum Jail, equiped with the latest, cutting edge technology, for all those rich enough from around the world to peruse.

Soon after that, it's said that Toue abandoned the former residents of the island outright.

But this story takes place some twenty years later.

Aoba, who mostly spends his time at work in Heibon, comes home to eat his suppers with Granny, with whom he lives with on the island. His life is an ambicable one, although as with all who've been left to carry their lives out in the Old Resident District in the years of Toue's acquisition of Midorijima, it is by no means prosperous. In those ensuing years, as well, a certain game involving "Ridge" rose in popularity, in which gangs of young men would go out of their way to engage in turf wars against one another. More recently, however, another competitor have been taking over people's interests as well; a game called "Rhyme," whose participants and their watchers scatter throughout the city to engage in fights that unfold on a virtual reality but are seen right before their eyes.

He shows interest in neither, thinking it'd be nice if they didn't cause as much commotion. Still, he and his Granny live in relative contentment, along with his dog type "All-mate" (a form of artificial intelligence who work primarily as information networks, and implicitly, companions for those who have them), and a number of friends and acquaintances.

But events are already unfolding around the island to put what peace he wishes to pass his days by with on the line, but a certain disaster in particular shakes up what little there manages to salvage.

{{Nitroplus}} CHIRAL's latest [[BoysLove BL]] VisualNovel, ''DRAMAtical Murder'', also known amongst fans as ''DMMD'', features crisp, clean and fluid art style, various character expressions and CG artwork, an engrossing sci fi story rendered bright and colorful, and of course, tons and tons of BoysLove, with four main routes and one unlockable one. A first press edition was released on March 23rd, 2011, and a regular edition came out on the 27th of May. An English partial patch (common route) can be found here.
