Hrm, is it really? The Lotus tells you most of everything, but I\'m probably missing flavor text - the tutorial, to me, implied the Tenno actually need to be brought up to speed, they didn\'t completely forget.

Tropes for the trope god!

* TheComputerShallTauntYou: The Jackal prototype at Venus taunts you as you progress across the system and come closer to facing off against it, calling you a 'minimal threat' and similar terms.

* InterfaceScrew: The Ancient Disruptor's main attack subjects you to severe interface screw (colour scrambling/inversion) and instantly drains all of your shields and energy. Somewhat reduced in the latest patch since it was a bit too disorientating/dangerous for those with epilepsy or similar conditions.

* MechanicalMonster: The Corpus' Jackal and Hyena warbots, quadruped beasties armed with heavy shields, dual machineguns, vertically launched missiles, grenades, and a ShockwaveStomp attack. The Hyena is a smaller, faster version of the Jackal.

* MeleeATrois: As of the latest patch, one faction can begin spawning in any other faction's missions. For instance, a mission that starts out against the Grineer may take a turn for the grim when Infested suddenly begin to spread throughout the ship, prompting the Grineer to begin fighting the Infested as well as you. * TheBigGuy: Each and every Grineer are hulking brutes. Also the Rhino warframe's role, being the toughest but also the slowest.

* EliteMooks: Grineer Heavies, which come in Napalm, Bombard, and Minigunner flavours. They look almost identical to standard Grineer Lancers and Soldiers, but are tougher, have shields, and have more powerful attacks. The Infestation also has the Ancients (Ancient Healer, Ancient Disruptor, Toxicancient) which are bigger and tougher infested foes.

They look almost identical to standard Grineer Lancers and Soldiers, but are tougher, have shields, and have more powerful attacks. The Infestation also has the Ancients (Ancient Healer, Ancient Disruptor, Toxicancient) which are bigger and tougher infested foes. Finally, there are a couple of special variants of the Corpus Moas.
* EscortMission: Rescue objectives sound like they could be hellish... fortunately, they're not. The Hostage you have to rescue is - despite apparently carrying a pistol - unarmed and often tries to take cover when he isn't running between multiple players trying to figure out who to follow, or stuck on terrain, and has strong shields and lots of health, despite being essentially naked.

* GlowingEyesOfDoom: Helmeted Grineer Troopers have orange-reddish eyes, whilst some of the Infested have orange-red or blue eyes.
* TheGuardsMustBeCrazy: Both smart and stupid to varying degrees. They won't leave patrol paths to check out noises, but other times they can be deaf and blind. Usually if you engage them and aren't quick about it, one of them will run to the nearest Command Console to raise the alarm -- unless you can kill them before they get there.

* MeleeATrois: As of the latest patch, Grineer or Corpus forces can start spawning in Infested areas - and they'll promptly start fighting the Infested given the opportunity.

* NorseMythology: One of the Warframes is called "Loki". Fittingly, it's mostly based around stealth and trickery.

to:

* Nerf: The 5.3 - "Blazing Embers" patch massively reduced the effectiveness of shield capacity warframe modifications by converting them from percentages to flat increaseshottip:*:for instance, a mod that once increased your shields by 50% now only increases them by 50, with the aim of making combat much more dangerous, and making shield regeneration and damage reduction warframe modifications more appealing. When you had 1,000+ shields, there wasn't really anything that could actually threaten you short of getting cornered and stunlocked by a mob of Infested Ancients.

* ReturnToShooter: An ability available to the Mag Warframe and a certain boss, which causes bullets from the victim's firearms to strike them instead. It doesn't interfere with melee attacks or abilities, though.

* SwordAndGun: The Tenno are stated to be masters of sword and gun combat.

* ActionBomb: Infested Runners. They charge at you, then explode. Or they explode if you kill them with gunfire. But not if you slice them in half with a flaming sword.

* ArmorIsUseless: Nope. All that heavy armour the Grineer wear is fairly effective against small arms fire. Not so much against flaming swords or lightning-fists, though.

* ChainsawGood: Grineer Warsaws, who pack circular discs to do real damage up close.
* ChargedAttack: Every Tenno Warframe gets access to this. The most basic - and useful - attack is a simple slash-dash, a combination of a Biotic Charge and a, well, sword slash.

to:

* BoomHeadshot: Played with;
** PlayedStraight by: Most Grineer troopers, who wear heavy armour everywhere except their heads.
** Played with by: Infested. Some of them are quite bullet resistant, others are not. They all tend to take more damage from headshots.
** Trope by: Corpus Crewmen. No body armour whatsoever, big ol' bulletproof helmets.
* ChainsawGood: Grineer Warsaws, Sawmen, who pack circular discs to do real damage up close.
* ChargedAttack: Every Tenno Warframe gets access to this. The most basic - and useful - melee weapon can use a Hold-type charged attack is to dish out a simple slash-dash, a combination lot more damage, at the cost of a Biotic Charge and a, well, sword slash.it being interruptable.

* FacelessGoons: Many (but not all) of the Grineer troopers wear helmets. The helmets don't seem to reduce how much damage the troopers take from headshots though.

* HandCannon: Among the pistols you can get: a gun made to fire shotgun rounds, about as big as your head. There's also a slightly more conventional handcannon revolver that does very high damage, in exchange for holding only six rounds by default.
* InterfaceScrew: The Ancient Disruptor's primary attack subjects you to severe interface screw (colour scrambling/inversion) and drains your power.

* MoreDakka: One of the primary weapons is an enormous machine gun that trades the Tenno's speed and grace for more bullets.

Added DiffLines:

* ShockwaveStomp: Shockwave Moa and Grineer Heavies. Certain bosses can do it too. The Shockwave Moa's is unusual in that the wave travels along the walls/floor/ceiling, and can be jumped over. Players can jump and melee for their own version, and the Rhino warframe also has one as one of its abilities.

In the distant future, after a great war, the Tenno - feared masters of the blade, gun, and the Warframe, a powerful combat suit - were scattered amongst the Galaxy, lost, forgotten.

The Grineer - ANaziByAnyOtherName fascistic, militaristic brutes who rely on degenerating clones and perverted science to conquer galaxies - are on the march. Seeing this, a woman called the Lotus finds and begins reactivating the Tenno to fight back.

Players go on four-man missions against the Grineer, sabotaging and destroying to push them back out of the galaxies. Each mission is a fast-paced shoot-and-slash romp, and you're free to mix it up between shooting and slashing.
