* HumansAreBastards: Brett thinks so, due to being abused and used in a human trafficking organization by humans when he was younger. He's very leery of Leo and constantly asks Efi if he's treating her kindly.

* CastingAShadow: Brett's ability. He can pull shadows out of the ground as jagged, black shapes that can hold swords and uses them to attack. He can also use his shadow like a sort of {{Hammerspace}} and teleport using shadows.

* IHaveManyNames: Since Leo is a con artist, he has to operate under various names. In the second game he's Harold and in the third he's Sid. [[spoiler: His real name is Teo Leonharts.]]

* HairDecoration: Efi always wears a bow and hair clips of some sort. Other characters where hair clips or something that ties back their hair tails.

* LivingLieDetector: Efina can turn lies into physical entities which she can eat, meaning that people who lie will cause the little critters to manifest. But Efi is young and inexperienced, meaning that she can tell when a person's lying but can't tell which exact statement is a lie, which causes multiple critters to appear, but only one of them is actually a lie.

** Leo, as Harold, tells Efi to call him Hal because young Efi has trouble pronouncing Harold.

** Normal Ending: [[spoiler: Your BittersweetEnding. If you checked the eye twice but Efi is under Level 12, Efi will perform a HeroicSacrifice to save Teo from his corruption.]]
** True Ending: [[spoiler: Your GoldenEnding. If you check the eye twice and Efi is over Level 12, Efi will be strong enough to save Teo without sacrificing herself, allowing enough time to catch up with Cyril so Teo can reconcile with her.]]

* OurDragonsAreDifferent: Dragons are humanoid beings born from wishes. When someone wishes for something extremely hard, an egg will form, and from that egg will hatch a dragon. A dragon's powers and abilities are related to the wish: for example, Neil's NighInvulnerability comes from the previous police captain wishing for someone who'd always be with her and an ally who'd never be lost in battle. Brett thinks the wish he was born from was a wish to be unnoticed, hence his shadow manipulating powers.

* OurDragonsAreDifferent: Dragons are humanoid beings born from wishes. When someone wishes for something extremely hard, an egg will form, and from that egg will hatch a dragon. A dragon's powers and abilities are related to the wish: for example, Neil's NighInvulnerability comes from the previous police captain being worried about who'll succeed her when she passes away. Brett thinks the wish he was born from was a wish to be unnoticed, hence his shadow manipulating powers.

* {{Immortality}}: Neil's ability is immortality, which gives him NighInvulnerability.

* MagnetismManipulation: The reason why Efi's powers run out of control in the third game is because of electromagnetic interference generated from [[spoiler:Cyril's]] staff. How that works is anyone's guess.

* OlderThanTheyLook: Efi looks like a little kid but is under a year old. Likewise, Iris looks like a young adult but is about 9 years old.
** YoungerThanTheyLook: Neil appears to be in his thirties (according to his profile, anyways) but is actually [[Really700YearsOld around 100 years old]].

* RunningGag: Efi or Sid commenting on the noises/faces Iris makes when she really needs to concentrate to use her powers.
