* Cumulonemesis: One of the demon's "minions" in Grow RPG Sigmas second level is a cloud. While it looks like a completely normal cloud at first, it goes in predefined areas and can even attack the hero by raining or snowing on him, meaning it's probably somewhat sentient.

Added DiffLines:

* SpiritualSequel: Invoked for Grow Valley, which is officially considered a sequel to Grow Island. It's not a sequel in a story sense since both games don't really have plots. It's a sequel in spirit, as both games have the same thematic of constructing a utopia on a specific landscape using eco-friendly energies and technologies and mixing up several fields of expertise. Both games also serve as advertisements for the same company.

* BaitAndSwitch: At each turn in Grow Island, the island shakes and the lava of the volcano rises, giving the impression that the volcano is eventually gonna erupt. Once it looks like the volcano is about to erupt in the final turn, a creature comes out of the volcano, pours lava out of a head-tentacle and goes back inside the volcano. While the effect is pretty much what the player expected, the execution is pretty unpredictable.

* TheGreatSerpent: The demon's third form in Grow RPG Sigma is a giant snake.

* InconsistentColoring: The Tontie Queen in Grow Ver.1 has yellow-ish tan skin and an amber-colored eye, while the Tontie Quenn in Grow Valley has white skin and a blue eye.

** The demon from Grow RPG goes from red to blue once the hero uses the orb on it. Aside from the color change, the demon's appearance is the same.

* ScaledUp: The demon turns into a snake for his third form in Grow RPG Sigma.

* TemporaryBulkChange: The demon's second form in Grow RPG Sigma is similar to his first, except he's much more muscular.

* UnexplainedRecovery: In the secret ending of Grow Valley [[spoiler:the Onkies, who turned into Tonties, find a cave deep underground containing the skeletal remains of a giant creature. The Grow games are a series of quirky Flash puzzles games made by On Nakayama. You control a SugarBowl world, which you can fill with cute people, equally cute monsters, strange items, and odd architecture. The gameplay is simple: the game displays a selection of items, and the player must pick the items in the right order to advance the story. The items grow each turn and interact with ones previously chosen, providing clues that the player can use to figure out the correct sequence.

Added DiffLines:

* FantasticFlora: Some games contain strange flora.
** Grow RPG has a tree with blue leaves that produces pink bombs.
** Grow Ver.1 has a plant which looks like a vegetal jar. Pouring water in it turns it into a glass flower filled with water and containing a fish, while pouring milk in it turns it into a big spherical flower that appears to be made of cow udders.

Added DiffLines:

* FlatCharacter: For as much as the experts from Grow Valley count as characters, the life science expert (the pink Onky) has a really minor role in the game compared to his six partners. All he does is build a hospital with the help of some partners, but it doesn't have any influence on the game's progression and he doesn't help the others on their own projects. The pink Onky only serves to give a bonus turn for everyone else to finish their works.

Added DiffLines:

* IconicSequelCharacter: Although the Onky species is pretty much the mascot of the Grow games, they first appeared in Grow Cube, the third game in the series.
