* After the reaction of its keeper, the Rancor in ''StarWars''.

** Darth Vader without his mask at the end of ''Return of the Jedi''. Even though he's old and scarred, you still want to give the old guy a hug.

Granted it's a sudden reveal so shock factors into her reaction, but his eyes have just the faintest sheen of ''pain'' in them. Gentle-hearted Website/YouTube commenters have compared him and his family (seen in flashbacks), in their white bodysuits, to teddy bears instead.

** The Muto's in ''Film/{{Godzilla|2014}}'' [[spoiler: When the two of them nuzzle each others face after meeting up in San-fransisco]] can get this reaction from some people.

* Fizzgig and the Podlings from ''TheDarkCrystal''. Heck, we could probably include a lot of Muppets on this list, especially the "darker" Muppets.

* In rewatching anything Tolkien as done by Peter Jackson, this troper has come to the conclusion that Gollum of all... creatures... is pretty Ugly Cute
