I tend to bounce all over the wiki, but my home bases are LostAndFound and the edit page. I enjoy crosslinking related tropes, making blue text link to the right tropes, trimming [[ThreadMode loose threads]], improving the clarity and legibility of articles, and rerailing {{Signal To Noise Train Wreck}}s.

* TheWorldIsJustAwesome - I'll never understand people who think MeasuringTheMarigolds is a bad thing. I find most of my creative inspiration in the measuring of marigolds and deeply examining the world around me. When you understand the complex web of physical principles that interweave in the creation of a rainbow or sunset; or when you know that the light of the stars is hundreds of thousands of years old and that somewhere out there something might be looking on those same stars with alien senses; or when you learn to see the vector diagrams and anatomy principals in the dancers at a ballet; or study the "endless forms most beautiful" that evolution has woven out of the miracle of a puddle of goo in a universe capable of supporting life; or analyze the components of [[Music/LynyrdSkynyrd Freebird]] or [[Creator/LudwigVanBeethoven the 5th Symphony]] to see their full complexity, or think about all that goes into what makes our ability to perceive any of it possible... it only ''enhances'' one's awe of the miraculous world we live in. The world is indeed, just awesome.

I believe that when you understand the complex web of physical principles that generate a rainbow, or know that the colors of the sunset are the result of billions of dust grains in the atmosphere, or when you know that the light of the stars is hundreds of thousands of years old and that somewhere out there something might be looking on those same stars with alien senses, or see the geometry and trajectory curves in the dancers at a ballet, or analyze the components of [[Music/LynyrdSkynyrd Freebird]] or [[Creator/LudwigVanBeethoven the 5th Symphony]] to see their full complexity, or think about all that goes into what makes our ability to perceive any of it possible, it only ''enhances'' one's awe of the miraculous world we live in.

I know a lot of people think they are, but most people don't find themselves keeping a cow in their backyard for a few months, or with a pet cat with opposable thumbs, or watching a still-burning campfire float away in a rainstorm, or literally riding a boat through rapids without a paddle, or learning that pennies and nitric acid don't mix (not my fault), or working in a salvage yard as a summer job in high school and meeting this really tall guy named DougJones who was moving to California, a billionaire who pretended to be a hillbilly to screw with people, and other rather interesting folks...
