* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: Seasons 1-6 have been released on DVD, with the second half of the coming from the Warner Archive Collection. The only issue with the first three is that they're in 4:3, even though the show was made in 16:9.

* ScrewedByTheNetwork: According to George Lopez, ABC president Steve McPherson called him to explain that they cancelled the show and cut it's final season short because it was allegedly no longer financially successful and the network would lose money by if they greenlit it for another season, despite the fact the series' ratings was outperforming the other shows the ABC had renewed at the time. Lopez would later accuse ABC of cancelling the show only because it was being produced by Warner Bros. rather than being an in-house production.

** Cuban Angie is played by Mexican Constance Marie (whose real last name is, ironically, Lopez). Her sister Gloria is played an Argentinian-American actress.

** "Angie Gets Tanked" has George make fun of an overweight boy named Lawrence Baxter by shouting [[Film/TheNuttyProfessor "Hercules! Hercules! Hercules!"]]. Lawrence is played by Jamal Mixon, the same boy who played Ernie Klump, Jr. in ''The Nutty Professor''.

* MeanCharacterNiceActor: Benny's actress Belita Moreno. During an interview with George about the show he was asked which actor is the least like their character, He said that unlike Benny, Belita is a very nice person.

* {{Producers}}: Creator/SandraBullock is a co-executive producer of the show; she's good friends with Lopez and helped get his show off the ground, then eventually had a guest-starring turn as Accident Amy.

* FakeNationality: Carmen's actress is actually Albanian-American. Additionally, Manny Lopez, a Mexican, is played by Cuban actor William Marquez.

* ActorAllusion: Angie is seen wearing a pro-vegetarian shirt in one episode. Her actress, Constance Marie, is a devout vegetarian in real life.
