* TheWikiRule: The official wiki can be found [[http://thearknmythos.wikia.com/wiki/The_Arkn_Mythos_Wiki here]]. While it contains a great deal of information, and still occasionally receives updates, much of the content is currently out-of-date (or, in a few cases, unfinished). There's also the original no-longer-updated [[http://arknthology.wikia.com/wiki/Arknthology_Wikia Arknthology wiki]], which focuses specifically on the MythArc of [[WebOriginal/TheArknverse Universe A]].

* UnPerson: [=ControlZero=] (a.k.a. Zac), a personal friend of [=DeathlyLogic=] and one of the original creators of ''Arknverse'' (as well as ''Legacy'' and the planned Arknverse spin-off, ''Arkn Echo: End Times'') was banned from the franchise in 2022 after allegations of emotional and financial abuse (and possible grooming behavior) surfaced. While he had already decanonized most of his content voluntarily (thus avoiding plotholes and the need for retcons), every mention of his name was scrubbed from the wiki.

** In early 2018, DL and [=T0N=] reconciled yet ''again'', and decided to create a new Arknverse plot involving their main characters, Uriel and Azrael. Less than two weeks later, ''those'' plans were put on the backburner (due to DL having employment and financial issues). [=FeralWasteland=] would return independently late that year, long enough to finish up [=MedBoy789=] (encouraging DL to do the same with ''Solar's Crimson'', and wrapping up the Arknthology once and for all).

* SpinOff: The Arkn Mythos was originally proposed as an addition (of sorts) to Franchise/TheFearMythos; [=DeathlyLogic=], [=Type0Negative=] and Kekstein posted their early concepts for the project on the Fear Mythos wiki forums. However, they were unhappy with the feedback they received and the changes the community wanted to make to their ideas.[[note]]Among other things, they wanted to give the Slender Man a more prominent role, turn the Arkn and Dekn into human cults, and suggested making .Reality a walking, breathing mortal being (who could be killed by the Fears).[[/note]] They ultimately decided to break away from the established web communities and create their own independent 'verse.

* NoBudget: ''All'' of the vlogs in the Mythos, without exception, star the creators and their friends and are filmed on a handheld camera or smart phone, in the actors' homes and the surrounding areas. The only money spent on production goes towards props, theatrical makeup, and gas to drive to filming locations. (Or sometimes just ''drive'': a number of episodes in the vlogs were shot entirely in the protagonist's car while driving. [=DeathlyLogic=] even filmed one episode of ''Solar's Crimson'' while driving to work in the morning -- with the in-episode explanation that Michaelis was doing ''the exact same thing.'')

* OrphanedSeries: Arkn: Echo'' (a.k.a. Universe O), a planned prequel blog series (helmed by [=DeathlyLogic=] [=Type0Negative=], and set in the universe before A which would have explored how the formerly mortal Hethe became the monstrous entities we see in The Arknverse. It debuted May 15, 2018, and posted two entries before it was ultimately abandoned and deleted.

* TroubledProduction: A number of vlogs and blogs set in the War Chronicles and the Winter Saga were delayed due to disagreements between the creators (namely, disputes regarding various plot points in the Arknthology and how various characters fit into it). Said disputes led to a great deal of infighting, which resulted in a number of creators leaving the Mythos -- and lead several vlogs and blogs to be cancelled and/or deleted. In the end, [=DeathlyLogic=] and [=PesterJest=] decided to abandon any plot arcs tied to the Arknthology, cancel their remaining series, and begin work on the SpinOff ahead of schedule.
** Oddly, [=TypeONegative=] and [=FeralWasteland=] both reconciled with [=DeathlyLogic=] in early 2017. Their respective Arknthology series ([=acryfromwinter=] and [=MedBoy789=] were resurrected, along with ''The Knight Shift: End Times'', and several new episodes were produced for each series. The trio fell out again several months later, however, and their vlogs -- and the Arknthology -- were once again put out to pasture.

* BasedOnADream: [=DeathlyLogic=] stated that The Carver's Dekn form was inspired by a nightmare about a demonic-looking creature that beat him within an inch of his life, then told him not to tell anyone because it was God.
* CreativeDifferences: As is often the case in loosely-connected internet communities, the franchise has had its share of problems since its inception.
** [=Type0Negative=] and Arin M. both left the franchise at the end of Act II of the Arknthology over unrelated personal conflicts with [=DeathlyLogic=] and [=Type0Negative=], abandoning their respective vlogs and characters (with [=Type0Negative=] remarking, "I don't [[PrecisionFStrike fucking]] care" when a viewer asked what would happen to his characters). [=T0N=] returned roughly a month later, after he and DL patched up their friendship; the plot of Season 3 of ACFW was rebooted, and the series continued as usual.
** Both [=Type0Negative=] and [=FeralWasteland=] left in late 2016 due to disputes over the handling of certain plot elements and characters. Both creators felt that [=DeathlyLogic=] had too much creative control, and was being inflexible with his handling of the material. (Among other things, they were displeased with his shockingly cruel portrayal of Gilgamesh — which he refused to alter — and his refusal to accept constructive criticism.) When the three eventually briefly reconciled several months later, the Arknza Civil War PlotArc (which had been in planning for nearly a year) had unfortunately already been scrapped. The trio worked together only a few months before [=Type0Negative=] and [=FeralWasteland=] both severed ties with [=DeathlyLogic=] and the community again — canceling ACFW and [=MedBoy789=].
*** In late 2016, ''Solar's Crimson'', ACFW, and l3rkingwond3rland resumed production...only for all three to be cancelled again shortly thereafter. [=DeathlyLogic=] tried to resume SC again in December 2017, but eventually gave up (as he no longer had the time to work on it). SC was finally completed a year later...after [=MedBoy789=] unexpectedly wrapped independently, with the posting of its final episode.
* {{Leitmotif}}: The Eurythmics' “Sweet Dreams Are Made of This” plays during the opening scene of “The Knight” (the first full episode of ''The Knight Shift'") while Knight and his friends are driving down the road to the Infernous to begin Ellpagg's imprisonment. Since then, the song has appeared numerous times when a plot arc recalls Ellpagg's connection to The Carver and his suffering in the Infernous.

* RealLifeWritesThePlot: While filming the final act of ''The Knight Shift'', [=DeathlyLogic=]'s family moved out of the house that he used as the setting for the series. He and Zayne decided to make use of this by incorporating a "fear hallucination" sequence with a hallway full of packing boxes (symbolizing The Carver's fear of being overthrown and displaced), and having Knight find all the rooms in the House empty (signifying that [[spoiler: the Infernous has been "emptied" of The Carver's presence after his death]]).
** In one episode of ''Solar's Crimson'', Michaelis kicks a door frame in a fit of anger; he howls in pain and drops to the floor, and spends the rest of the scene writhing in agony in the fetal position. [=DeathlyLogic=] actually broke his foot when he kicked the door frame, and his reaction was completely genuine; rather than re-shoot the scene, he and Zayne (who was operating the camera) decided to leave it in, as it was not only hilarious, but suited the pathetic nature of Michaelis's character at the time.
** As with ''The Knight Shift'', one of the final episodes of ''[=MedBoy789=]'' made use of [=FeralWasteland=]'s family's move by having Carver and co. show up and take control of Tobias's house, obliterating most of his belongings (offscreen, of course); this, in turn, prompts Delphar to rescue Tobias by transporting him to a brand-new house between timelines.
** [=DeathlyLogic=] began working at a doughnut shop around the time ''Solar's Crimson'' started filming. This resulted in Azrael ''also'' getting a job at a doughnut shop (explaining why he was sometimes wearing a work uniform in the episodes, and why he had a seemingly unlimited supply of doughnuts).
** Elias Exodus [[spoiler: was KilledOffForReal]] and his father Asmodeus was PutOnABus in "The Last Firstborn" ([=MedBoy789=]) due to the actor who portrayed both characters joining the military.
* TakeThat: The description for the [=Medboy789=] [[MissingEpisode episode]] "Poking at a Lion" was a stab at [=DeathlyLogic=] ([=FeralWasteland=] was feuding with him at the time, and had intended for the video to be the final installment of the series.)
