* CreatorBacklash: {{Wrestling/Paige}} went on record to disown the match she was in at the 2014 event - namely the decision to have all the faces survive. The crowd sided with her as a result, despite being the heel, because she was the sole survivor.

* ShoutOut: In the 2019 event, Corey Graves said that the Fiend looked like something out of [[Creator/TomSavini Tom Savini's]] worst fears. Appropriate, since Bray Wyatt had the mask created by Savini's students at his workshop.

*** Wrestling/ShawnMichaels replaced Wrestling/JerryLawler in the Family Feud against the Hart Brothers ([[Wrestling/BretHart Bret]], [[Wrestling/OwenHart Owen]], Bruce, & Keith), due to Lawler being charged with rape towards a teenage girl (who later admitted to [[FalseRapeAccusation making up the story]]).

** For the 1992 event, the main event tag match was going to be the Ultimate Maniacs ("Macho Man" Randy Savage and The Ultimate Warrior) taking on Ric Flair and Razor Ramon, while "The British Bulldog" Wrestling/DaveyBoySmith was scheduled to defend the WWF Intercontinental Championship against The Mountie. But, Warrior and Bulldog were both fired for having purchased human growth hormone from a pharmacy in the United Kingdom, while Mountie straight-up quit. As a result, Savage ended up teaming with Mr. Perfect, while Bulldog dropped the IC Title to Wrestling/ShawnMichaels on ''Saturday Night's Main Event''.
** Wrestling/SethRollins was supposed to defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against former teammate Wrestling/RomanReigns at the 2015 event, but an injury at a live event in Dublin, Ireland forced him to vacate the title and a tournament took place to crown a new champion instead, with the semi-finals and finals taking place at the actual event. When the tournament brackets showed that Reigns and his former teammate/current best friend Dean Ambrose were in opposite blocks, it became fairly obvious which match the company was going for as a replacement. [[spoiler:Reigns would win the match, only for Sheamus to cash-in and win the title off him]].

* UnintentionalPeriodPiece: Sgt. Slaughter's Iraqi heel act at ''Survivor Series 1990'' is very dated today, though Sarge did a good job on his promo and getting the drama across.

*** The Masked Knights in the Family Feud were originally going to be played by Wrestling/TerryFunk (Red Knight), Wrestling/JimmySnuka (Black Knight), and [[Wrestling/{{Kane}} Glenn Jacobs]] (Blue Knight), and would've been unmasked after their eliminations. However, after a night out drinking with Bret, Funk left both his costume and a note saying "[[INeedToGoIronMyDog My horse is sick. I think she's going to die. I think I better go.]]" outside Bret's hotel room before catching a plane backto Amarillo, Texas, while Snuka was let go, and Jacobs was considered too green. As a result, the Knights ended up being played by Wrestling/BarryHorowitz (Red Knight), Jeff Gaylord (Black Knight), and Wrestling/GregValentine (Blue Knight).
