* DubNameChange:
** English dub: Jôji became George, while Ra became Karras. Spectreman's master Nebula 71 were named Overlords.
** Brazilian Portuguese dub: Jôji became Kenji, Ra became Karas (following the English example above [[note]]this happens because the network that aired the show in Brazil acquired it via USA, instead of acquiring it directly from Japan. Another consequence is that the Brazilian audience was presented to the English-language opening theme[[/note]]).Toshio Arito became Ota, Shinkichi Kaga became Kato, Koji Ota became Wada, Rie Endoh became Minnie, Mineko Tachibana became Chieko, Midori Sawa became Yumi and Hiromi Yanagida became Kimie. * U.S. version: The English-dubbed adaptation of Spectreman was produced and aired in the U.S. in 1978, a full 7 years after the original Japanese version. (Compare to the two years it took for MightyMorphinPowerRangers to be created from Zyuranger.) As such, the dubbed Spectreman has multiple unintentional anachronisms where early Seventies cars, hair, and fashion stand out. This adaptation featured a brand new "Spectreman" opening theme song with prominent use of synthesizer, which would not have been TV theme instrumentation in 1971. Also, to contemporary audiences of 1978 the costumed Spectreman would have somewhat resembled a lame knock-off of C-3PO from Star Wars, a 1977 release.

* HeyItsThatVoice: Creator/SeizoKato voices Gori in the early episodes.
** The Brazilian dub shares most of its cast with ''Series/ElChavoDelOcho''. The most notable examples are Gori and Karras, who are respectively Don Ramón and Prof. Girafales.
