* FranchiseZombie: Given the nostalgia for the original series leading to role reprisals on Fallon and the 2020 Peacock series, many are shocked to learn the spinoff series with multiple casts lasted seven seasons which have been mostly forgotten. This is understandable as unlike the original series, The New Class was exclusively a saturday morning kids show and it's DVD releases are long out of print(with some later volumes being quite pricey as a result) and unlike the original show and "College Years" it wasn't available on streaming for the longest time until Peacock made the series available in 2020(after it was later taken down from Peacock it's currently only available to watch via the "Saved by the Bell" FAST channel)so the show fell into obscurity as a result until recent years where it has seen somewhat of a resurgence in popularity.
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: Once the series ended in 2000, it wasn't seen in syndication. Originally, the entire series was available to watch on the NBC website but when NBC moved all its content to its new streaming service, Peacock, ''The New Class'' didn't make the cut and is currently the only SBTB series that is unavailable to stream. The series was released to DVD though some of the later sets are quite pricey and long out of print. The show is however currently available on the "Saved By the Bell" FAST channel.

** The season 2 episodes set at a country club were meant to take place the summer before the episodes set in Bayside.

** The final episode of the show that aired- "A Repair to Remember" was shown after the GrandFinale despite taking place earlier as Maria and Tony are still together and there's no mention of Mr Belding accepting the job offer to become a college Dean.

Harrell had actually been a final season cast member of ''Series/KidsIncorporated'', which, amusingly, actually featured former ''Series/SavedByTheBell'' regular Mario Lopez during the first two seasons as a back-up dancer.

The first part where the kids start to work on the house and meet the Reynolds family ("Putting Up Walls") is shown AFTER the episode where they complete the house in time for Thanksgiving ("Thanks for Giving")

* RecycledSet: The producers reused all of the sets from their USA Network series ''USA High'' for a group of season 5 episodes where the school sent the kids to Paris, France.

* OldShame: Unlike ''Good Morning, Miss Bliss'', the original form, ''The College Years'' or even the ''Hawaiian Style'' TV movie, ''none'' of the episodes from its seven-year run has been seen in syndication since the series ended in 2000.
