** Portraying monks in Sprout Tower as war-mongering Buddhists land somewhere between this and Truth in Television, since bands of overly-aggresive monks used to be a common thing in medieval Japan.
** There are a couple of moments where the translation uses extremely archaic but technically correct language, such as when describing the Pokemon Mart and the medicines it sells.

Afraid I can't find the exact quote at this time - I *think* they describe the Mart as an apothecary to cure diatheses (a pharmacy to cure a disease, basically) but can't find it.

** Shockingly for this awful translation, it actually gets one thing right. It translates the surviving tower in Ecruteak City as the "Bell Tower", one of the two possible translations of the Japanese name the other being "Tin Tower", as in the official Generation II translations and the one that would be made official in [=HeartGold=] and [=SoulSilver=]. Of course, this is said in context of Silver giving one of his famously hammy rants (including calling the player character a "WEAK WORM"), so the translator clearly got this one right just by sheer luck.
