** Gabriel isn't the first time one of Creator/DaveFennoy's characters [[spoiler:[[VideoGame/TheWalkingDead contracts a deadly infection]] because of a major antagonistic force]], depending on your choices.
** On that note, after exiting the snow-covered portal in Episode 6, Lukas (voiced by Creator/ScottPorter) will mutter a "brr, ice lakes" in reference to the [[DangerThinIce fate]] of Porter's character Luke in ''VideoGame/TheWalkingDead'', also by Creator/TelltaleGames.
*** In a strange and amusing {{Aversion}}, the near-identical names was also thought by some fans to be a ''The Walking Dead'' allusion, however lead writer Eric Stirpe confirmed it as just a coincidence.
** Roger L. Jackson, in Episode 6, plays a murderer who wears all-black clothing aside from a white mask, with the voice being used to hide the identity of the person under the mask, similar to [[{{Film/Scream}} Ghostface]].
** In Episode 8,Hadrian uses the phrase "Ta Ta for now", reference to Jim Cummings role as Tigger.
** If Jesse chooses to accompany Lukas and Radar in Season 2 episode 2, they will be forced to run from Snow Golems. [[Creator/YuriLowenthal Radar]] is afraid to jump a large gap and Jesse responds with "Sometimes you've just got to fake it, Radar. [[WesternAnimation/Ben10 Hero time!]]"
** While Petra was the first character voiced by Creator/AshleyJohnson to have a best friend named Jesse, [[WesternAnimation/InfinityTrain she certainly]] [[VideoGame/TheLastOfUsPartII wasn’t the last.]]

However, according to [[WordOfGod Eric Stirpe]], the MCSM incarnations of Stampy and Stacy permanently moved to Beacontown -- according to the game, for "the thrill of adventure". ** The choice in episode five where Jesse can save the Founder or back up Lukas went through two different drafts. Originally, ''both'' Jesse and the Founder would be dangling over the edge, and you had to choose whether to help her up or just save yourself. They changed it because, no matter what you did, both Jesse and Isa would fall over the edge, which they didn't feel was a satisfying decision. It was reworked into the Founder and Lukas being over the edge, and Jesse had to pick who to save. However, this was changed as well, because ''everyone'' was picking Lukas.

** A lot more was supposed to happen is Season 2, but got cut due to budget restrictions or other reasons. Em would've appeared if you chose to convince her to come back with you, [=DanTDM=] or Lizzie would've appeared depending on who survived "A Portal to Mystery", and Lukas probably wouldn't have been absent from Episodes 3 and 4 if not for his voice actor becoming a father at that time. Also, they were hoping to do a flashback sequence featuring Romeo, Fred and Xara, all in their Admin forms.

* NoExportForYou: Unlike Season 2, which received a full localization, Season 1 was never released in Japan. This made Ivor's surprise return in Episode 4 somewhat of an AssPull in Season 2's Japanese dub, since he was only foreshadowed briefly in Episode 1, despite being a major character in Season 1.
