** !The specials. They have never been broadcasted in a few countries worldwide compared with the rest of the series, and even in terms of DVD releases they have only been available as digital downloads on US-only online stores. Or, at least, that used to be true. As of 2015, they are all on DVD now.
** ''Madeline in Tahiti'' is available to buy on iTunes and Amazon and it can be watched on YouTube but it is not available in every country. It doesn't help that there isn't really much known about the movie.

* AuthorExistenceFailure: Ludwig Bemelmans passed on in 1962, leaving ''Madeline in America'' unfinished (the story has already been completed, but the illustration hasn't). Bemelmans' grandson, John Bemelmans-Marciano, eventually completed the illustrations and got the book published. He has written and illustrated all new Madeline books published since.

That title should belong to ''Madeline in Tahiti''; a direct-to-video film made in 2007 (merely 5 years after ''My Fair...'') but its mainstream obscurity was so great, it has nary a mention on Wiki/TheOtherWiki's Madeline page, much less ThisVeryWiki even though it's available for download in iTunes and can be purchased on Amazon. Trailers and clips do exist on Website/YouTube but the full movie that was also uploaded there [[NoExportForYou isn't available for every country]].

** However, while the specials are finally released, for a while they were only available from digital download stores, which are [[RegionCoding region-locked]] and thus pushed the official releases into NoExportForYou territory. They have since been released on DVD by Creator/MillCreekEntertainment in September 2013.

* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: For a while. After the Golden Books Video/DVD releases and the show being pulled from {{DiC}}'s Saturday morning block, it was nowhere to be found.... Until Shout! Factory started releasing new [=DVDs=] of the series.

* ChannelHop: From {{Creator/HBO}} to The Family Channel (now Creator/ABCFamily) to Creator/{{ABC}} to The DisneyChannel.
** In Malaysia: RTM-[=TV2=] to DisneyChannel to Playhouse Disney Channel.

* HeyItsThatVoice:
** Chloe's first voice actress was none other than Creator/TaraStrong (known back than by her maiden name, Tara Charendoff).
** Madeline's fourth VA was Creator/ChantalStrand, who went on to play Cassie in ''WesternAnimation/DragonTales'' and Ribbon-chan (AKA: Bijou) in ''Anime/{{Hamtaro}}''.
** Madeline's third VA was Creator/AndreaLibman, who later went on to voice Emmy in ''WesternAnimation/DragonTales'' and [[Franchise/CareBears Harmony Bear]]. ** In the first season episode "Madeline and the Pirates", the head [[spoiler:not-]] pirate is none other than [[WesternAnimation/AdventuresOfSonicTheHedgehog Dr. Robotnik]].[[note]]It helps that both shows were made at around the same time. Most notably, ''Madeline's Christmas'', which for some reason wasn't on the Creator/ShoutFactory DVD of the same name and was only available for download off Amazon.com Unbox (now Amazon Instant Video), which blocks out non-US downloaders.

** Creator/{{Hulu}} has 59 episodes, but none of the specials. Also, did we mention that Hulu will not let you have a crack at the videos if you're neither in the US nor Germany?
