* MemeAcknowledgement: The final episode nods to a couple of the show's more popular memes: [[spoiler:In the new world, Sato Taro is a famous rockstar while Sento Kiryu is literally unknown. Meanwhile, Utsumi (who's working in a factory) tries to snap a metal bar over his knee like he did Nanba's cane...it doesn't go so well for him this time around.]]

* WhatCouldHaveBeen: The Scorpion and Gold Fullbottles were supposed to be among Hokuto's tally of Fullbottles, but they were replaced by Rose and Helicopter.

*** Notably, due to the existence of regular Bat and Engine Fullbottles, Toei could have replaced F1 and Kyoryu with regular Crocodile and Remote Control Fullbottles, allowing them to keep Santa and Cake Fullbottles out of the series. It is not known why Toei didn't choose to do so.

** Re-using a CGI model rather than a practical prop: in episode 13, Blood Stalk creates an energy projection of a cobra as part of his VillainExitStageLeft; sharp-eyed viewers will notice that the cobra is Venosnaker, [[Series/KamenRiderRyuki Kamen Rider Ouja]]'s BondCreature, only with a full blue coloring and without the gold blades extending from its tail. It actually showed up way back in episode 3, but deliberately fattened up so you'd have to pause it to see it.'

** Some fans refer to [[spoiler: Shinobu Katsuragi's Rider form as]] Another Build, in reference to [[Series/KamenRiderAgito Another Agito.]]

* MythologyGag: Build's [=SmaphoWolf=] combo is a reference to KamenRiderFaiz. Specifically, his TransformationTrinket (a cellphone) and his secret nature as the Wolf Orphenoch. [[spoiler: For bonus point, this form is developed when he was still Takumi]]. The form it creates though looks nothing like Faiz. And as usual, he has Legend Rider forms using the appropriate Fullbottles. Unusually for Legend Rider gimmicks, the more typical-looking Legend Fullbottles are compatible with Fullbottles from the show.

The last series to air at the end of an era in Japan was ''Series/KamenRiderBlackRX'', although in that case, it finished its airing after the changing in eras[[note]]since unlike Akihito, Emperor Hirohito died while in office during the airing of ''Black RX''[[/note]].
