* NoDubForYou:
** Oddly averted in Japan; unlike what happened with Creator/MattGroening's previous series ''WesternAnimation/{{Futurama}}'' and ''WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons'' (when the dub stopped after Homer's Japanese voice actor died), this one did get a Japanese dub.
** This was also averted in Russia; this show got a full Russian dub, compared to Creator/MattGroening's previous shows, which had a VoiceoverTranslation (barring ''WesternAnimation/TheSimpsonsMovie'').

* RelationshipVoiceActor: The French dub feature several voice actors also known for their roles on ''WesternAnimation/SouthPark'': Thierry Wermuth (Stan, Randy, Gerald, etc.) is Elfo, Pops, and Cloyd; Creator/ChristopheLemoine (Cartman, Butters, Phillip, etc.) is Luci, Leavo, and Jerry; Pierre-François Pistorio (PC Principal and various other roles) is Odval and Merkimer; and William Coryn (Kyle, Kenny, Tweek, etc.) is the Jester, Shocko, and Satan.

* NamesTheSame:
** ''Disenchantment''[='s=] kingdom of Dreamland shares the same name with another magical land called Dreamland, which is the main setting of the ''{{Franchise/Kirby}}'' video games.
** ''WesternAnimation/GoldieAndBear'' also has a character named Tess the Giantess.
** ''WesternAnimation/SofiaTheFirst'' also has a character named Oona, though she's a princess there and a queen here.

* QueerCharacterQueerActor: Bean, who is firmly established in Part 3 as being bisexual, is voiced by Abbi Jacobson, who is herself bisexual.

** This was also averted in Russia; this show got a full Russian dub, compared to Creator/MattGroening's previous shows, which had a VoiceoverTranslation.

* ThoseTwoActors: The show features Creator/MattBerry, Creator/NoelFielding, Rich Fulcher, and Lucy Montgomery, who were all seen in ''Series/TheMightyBoosh''. Season 3 adds in Creator/RichardAyoade, who starred Series/TheITCrowd with Matt Berry and Noel Fielding and was featured in The Mighty Boosh as well.
