* ScrewedByTheNetwork: In April 2020, Maffew informed that Vimeo told him that hosting ''Botchamania'' is using up too much bandwidth with their average views per video, and as such wanted $10,000 annually to continue hosting his videos. Obviously not having the money, Maffew had no other option but to close his account there and leave the site.

** Movie review web series ''WebVideo/CinematicExcrement'' has made reference to Botchamania on occasion, given that its host, Sean "Smeghead" Moore, is a professed fan of professional wrestling. In TheStinger for the review of ''Film/Birdemic2TheResurrection'', a scene of Nathalie and Rod {{Corpsing}} is followed by the caption "Nathalie and Rod corpsing? Send for the man!",[[note]]Complete with the caption being in the same font as the one used in Botchamania, and it being followed by a "(Sorry Maffew)"[[/note]] while the stinger for the review of ''2012: Doomsday'' (a [[TheMoralSubstitute Christian]] [[TheMockbuster mockbuster]] of ''Film/TwentyTwelve'') is none other than the "'''JEEEZUS!!!'''" soundbite.

* SincerestFormOfFlattery: [[http://botchamania.com/botchamania-12-and-3/ According to Maffew,]] Botchamania in its current form was created in response to three poor-quality compilations of wrestling bloopers called "Botchamania" created by two different people. He reasoned that he could do better and so came up with Botchamania 4 the next day, then 5, then 6, etc. Eventually, he compiled the best-quality clips he could find from the original videos into a new entry called "Botchamania 1, 2, & 3 Maffew Edition."

* OldShame: Maffew has been banned on [=YouTube=] multiple times. However, for some reason, the account he's least proud of, Maffewfucksmen, is still up.

Perhaps the other media have a point but a lot of so called violations would fall under fair use when it comes to the professional wrestling material. Maffew is English however, which may complicate the legal side of this, and/or make it impossible for him to defend himself if he was taken to court by the mostly American wrestling companies he features.

** At time of writing, there are less than 10 episodes available on Vimeo (which has already begun a clampdown), 158 on Dailymotion, and a few ripped videos and "Best Of" compilations still fluttering in the winds on [=YouTube=]. The list is far from complete.

** This is further lampshaded as each of the adverts has a song about money or selling out playing over it.
