and Creator lines.

Added DiffLines:

* TheRemake: In 2022, the Creator line basically remade the 2005 "Viking Ship Challenges the Midgard Serpent" set with "Viking Ship and the Midgard Serpent." Both sets featured a Viking ship squaring off against a sea serpent, with the major difference being that the original used a lot of unique special pieces to make both the ship and the monster, whereas both would be completely brick-built from the ground up in the newer version (including the sails).

An Axe To Grind is no longer a trope

* AnAxeToGrind: Most vikings are armed with axes, more common than the usual LEGO fare of swords and spears.

LEGO Vikings is a Franchise/LEGO theme based upon the classic depiction of vikings, released in 2005-2006. Rather than doing the usual pillaging and plundering, these vikings instead go hunting for treasure, bringing them in conflict with a variety of mythological Norse beasts.

Compared to some of its contemporary LEGO themes, Vikings was very light on plot, with some of the only story provided in a short LEGO Brickmaster Magazine comic. Whenever the magical mists envelop the vikings' land, they are attacked by monsters, leading them to seek the source of the mist and put an end to the monster attacks.

While LEGO Vikings was short-lived, LEGO would later produce more viking characters in the Toys/LEGOMinifigures line.

!!This toy series contains examples of:

* AnAxeToGrind: Most vikings are armed with axes, more common than the usual LEGO fare of swords and spears.
* BeardOfBarbarism: The majority of viking minifigures have beards on their face printing.
* ChromosomeCasting: All characters in the main sets are male. The only female vikings were included as queens in the chess set.
* ClipItsWings: In the Brickmaster comic, the Viking Catapult is used to shoot the Fafnir and Nidhogg dragons with sticky tar, preventing them from flying.
* CoolBoat: From the small Viking Boat to the impressive Viking Ship, the vikings know how to sail in style.
* CubCuesProtectiveParent: It's rather likely that the Fafnir Dragon is attacking the Viking Fortress because the vikings captured the baby Fafnir.
* HistoricalHeroUpgrade: Real-world vikings were not the nicest people, to say the least. Here, they only fight monsters and refer to themselves as heroes.
* HornsOfBarbarism: Every single viking wears a horned helmet.
* HornyVikings: The vikings in this series are based upon the stereotypical depiction of them, complete with horned helmets, prominent beards, and an affinity for Cool Boats.
* MediumBlending: The LEGO Vikings theme mainly uses LEGO SYSTEM bricks and pieces, but the vikings' catapults incorporate a lot of TECHNIC pieces and the monsters use a fair share of Toys/BIONICLE elements.
* MysteriousMist: Little is known about the magical mists other than the fact that it's magical.
* OminousFog: The magical mists signal the impending arrival of monsters.
* OurDragonsAreDifferent: The Nidhogg, Fafnir, and Ofnir Dragons resemble classic fire-breathing western depictions of dragons. They are much larger and fiercer than the previous dragons from Toys/LEGOCastle.
* OurWyvernsAreDifferent: The Wyvern is one of the smallest dragons encountered by the vikings, and is only really distinguished from the baby Fafnir by the lack of forelegs.
* ProudWarriorRaceGuy: When faced by the Nidhogg, Fafnir, and Fenris in a seemingly-impossible battle, one viking declares "We will face these monsters like Viking heroes!"
* SadlyMythtaken: While the beasts are all named after creatures from Myth/NorseMythology (Fenris Wolf, Wyvern Dragon, Nidhogg Dragon, Midgard Serpent, Fafnir Dragon, and Ofnir Dragon), they are only loosely based upon said mythology.
* SavageWolves: Fenris is a giant black wolf that is challenged by a Viking Warrior.
* SeaSerpents: The Midgard Serpent is a giant sea serpent that attacks the Viking Ship.
