** A lot of the pets' pronouns in the show and later films differ from the earlier webisodes and first movie. A particular example has Pillow's sheep be referred to as a "him", when episodes of the show refer to the sheep as a "her".

** In the first movie, Jewel Sparkles has a CurseCutShort moment.
** In the last episodes of the 2017 reboot's show, Jewel mentions that her cat, who had [[spoiler: recently married Storm E.'s cat under their owners' noses]], has recently been very hungry and moody, though initially thinks the cat is just upset with her. In the last episode, [[spoiler: upon finding the cats, Rosy realizes that Jewel's needs to be taken to the hospital immediately, and comes out of the room with three kittens. look back at the "hungry and moody" line. ** Cherry Crisp Crust has a pet blackbird. It’s a reference to the nursery rhyme “Sing a Song of Sixpence”, which would’ve been fine if the rhyme wasn’t about blackbirds being baked ''alive'' into a pie.[[note]]The nursery rhyme plays it lightheartedly and baking live birds into a pie was a common practice back then as a little trick before dessert, but that image is a little squeamish.[[/note]]

* DarkerAndEdgier: Downplayed in the We're Lalaloopsy series. They're not too depressing, but the last three episodes are surprisingly bleak and don't get better until the season finale.

* ChromosomeCasting: Almost the entire cast is made up of females.

* WhiteAndGreyMorality: Typical for a preschool show. While there are character rivalries and some aggressive characters (Sticks and Peggy), GossipyHens (Sugar, Berry [[InformedFlaw according to her toy description]], Bea in Lalaloopsy Girls), heck even protagonists Jewel and Storm E have their moments. However everyone in Lalaloopsyland is overall a well-meaning person, and the series never villainizes anyone fully.

Until it was announced Lalaloopsy is planning to return for Fall 2021, the comeback being hinted with Lalaloopsy's appearance in MGA's 2020 Mega Gift Box Surprise set along with several of their other toys.

[[AnimatedAdaptation Animated Adaptations]], such as webisodes, a MadeForTVMovie and a short-lived TV series on Nick Jr. were made. A {{Continuity Reboot}} series was released on Netflix in January 2017 and lasted one season due to the toyline's cancellation that year.
