Though the heroes fight well against him and Hakumen manages to send him to the underworld, Nine and Trinity are killed in the ensuing battle. Terumi is now remembered throughout Remnant's history as a traitor, with verses of The Dark War being written to honor the triumph of mankind, faunas, and The Six Heroes of Remnant.

His personality warps, becoming malicious, sadistic, and hateful. By the time he located his body, someone else had already found it. A warrior named ''Hakumen'' leads a crusade against the Beast alongside his allies; ''Nine'', ''Trinity'', ''Jubei'', ''Valkenhayn'', and Osiris. Terumi finds himself joining their ranks.
