* Juniper from ''Series/WalkingWithDinosaurs 3D'' is an odd ''Gender'' Scrappy for being a FlatCharacter and evidence of the sexism in the movie.

* ''Disney/{{Frozen}}'': The trolls, given how misplaced their comedy song 'Fixer-Upper' is [[spoiler: given that Anna is dying at the time and immediately collapses after the song is finished]] and that their role in the plot being just exposition devices. To make matters worse, their advice is also unclear at two very important points; 1) Their vague declaration that fear is most dangerous to Elsa leads the king and the queen to isolate both of their daughters from the outside world to prevent others from learning about Elsa's powers, thus causing her to become even more afraid of her powers and less able to control them. 2) They seem to strongly imply that an "act of true love" needed [[spoiler:to save Anna from freezing solid]] is a TrueLovesKiss, [[spoiler:when, in fact, Anna performing a HeroicSacrifice for her sister is what saves both of them]]. There is even a popular fan theory that they are responsible for [[spoiler: Hans randomly being evil so Anna would get together with Kristoff.]]

He has no redeeming qualities whatsoever and spends the majority of the movie terrorizing innocent citizens, beating down on [[TheWoobie poor Whitey]], and just being a hugely unpleasant person in general. It doesn't help that he comes off as an UngratefulBastard since Whitey helped him get out of prison and allowed him to stay at his house after his trailer/home gets burnt down. He's meant to come off as sympathetic due to his backstory ([[spoiler:that his parents died in a car crash on the night of his basketball game that he ''finally'' wins during the Hanukkah season]]), but his actions towards everyone makes him more as a completely [[UnintentionallyUnsympathetic unsympathetic]] bully and it makes it impossible to sympathize with him. He'd be a SoOkayItsAverage villain, and perhaps would even have a couple of fans, if not for the fact that like the rest of the movie, he had the bad luck to follow ''Disney/TheLionKing'', which had Scar, who was generally considered far cooler. [[FromBadToWorse To add insult to injury]], Ratcliffe was followed by a villain who was even MORE beloved and cool than Scar: conflicted KnightTemplar [[Disney/TheHunchbackOfNotreDame Claude Frollo]], who was succeeded by the [[AffablyEvil genuinely likeable]] and [[EvilIsCool cool]] [[Disney/{{Hercules}} Hades]], who was followed by the incredibly intimidating and impressive [[Disney/{{Mulan}} Shan Yu]], who was followed by the FauxAffablyEvil EgomaniacHunter [[Disney/{{Tarzan}} Clayton]] [[note]]And that's if you don't count villains that came before Scar: FauxAffablyEvil villains like [[Disney/TheRescuersDownUnder McLeach]] and [[Disney/{{Aladdin}} Jafar]], the [[NightmareFuel absolutely terrifying]] [[Disney/TheLittleMermaid Ursula]], and the MemeticBadass that is [[Disney/BeautyAndTheBeast Gaston]][[/note]]. Ratcliffe just couldn't cut it compared to the otherwise-stellar track record of Disney Renaissance villains as far as coolness was concerned, and fans of EvilIsCool villains didn't forgive him for it.
