** The irony of the SuccessionCrisis between Jushtin and Solaria, even though Jushtin was disinterested in being a king. He would have been a better leader than his sister since he made long-lasting alliances with other kingdoms and races within Mewni, while Solaria was an uncompromising, genocidal and xenophobic warmonger whose actions eventually resulted in her death.

* Rhina the Riddled had zero interest in romantic relationships, but because she was told she had to get married and produce an heir to the throne, she cast a spell on herself to make her fall in love with someone. Trouble is, the guy she married was abusive to her. It reached the point that Rhina attempted to cast a heartbreak spell to make her husband lose interest and leave her. Unfortunately, the spell worked ''too'' well and she ended up killing him by accident, via a ''literal'' broken heart. Not only was this traumatic for Rhina but it messed up her daughter Celena pretty badly as well once she was born.
* As mentioned above, Celena the Shy was born from an abusive, loveless marriage between her mother and her demon father, the latter who was accidentally murdered before she was born. As an adult, she gained a reputation for being extremely shy and reclusive... which caused everyone to constantly hound her in an attempt to learn her secrets.

*** In "Total Eclipsa the Moon", Eclipsa nostalgically fussed over how her daughter had "pretty little clovers on her cheeks, and the cutest tail in all of Mewni". All in [[{{Foil}} contrast]] to St. Olga, who belittled Meteora for ''[[FreakinessShame both]]''. Kind of sobering to think that if only Meteora had been raised by her ''real'' mother Eclipsa, she would've grown up happier with who she is, rather than miserably struggling to hide her monster-half ''and'' repress her Mewman royalty heritage.

* The death of Quirky Guy, just a few seconds after he bonds with Janna and thinks he's cool.
* Mina getting ready to throw all of the monsters off a cliff, including Buff Frog [[WouldHurtAChild and his family]].

* Eclipsa tells Moon that her entire ''life'' has basically been a TraumaCongaLine.

* Star just misses being a normal teenager and wants to be one again, telling her mother that once the coronation is done, she's done with Eclipsa.

* Her crying over possibly not being able to see Marco (whom she first calls her boyfriend) ever again.

** The contrast makes it even worse, with Moon perking up when she sees Comet and Eclipsa closing her eyes and using her Mewberty wings to block Solaria from view. Then, when the ghosts of the previous queens are disappearing, Eclipsa can just stare at each other until Meteora gurgles happily at her grandmother, who then puts a hand on her cheek and smiles before fading away.

* On Twitter, Daron Nefcy announced that Season 4 will be the last.

* Well, there's the fact that Meteora had to go through growing up orphaned ''again''. The result was a little different this time around, though.

** Although it's more than deserving for Mina to be eaten by a corrupted unicorn. It's somewhat sad to see her plead for help from her idol Solaria, who just glares at her in both shame and anger.

* Mina, her powers gone, refuses help from Moon and goes off with Manfred into the woods. Despite seeing Solaria disgusted at her and the legacy she started, Mina is so determined to come back one day, showing how detached from reality she is.

* With the magic gone, it also causes some characters who are made of magic (Glossaryck, Hekapoo, Rhombulus, and Omnitraxus) to die. Although, in any case, only the former two will most likely be missed.
* Mina, her powers gone, refuses help from Moon and goes off with Manfred into the woods.

* Star and Marco tearfully hugging each other because they know they probably won't see each other again.

* There is a sobering element of OneDialogueTwoConversations if one interprets Eclipsa's surprise at Festivia means she had hoped the kingdom had accepted her daughter as the next queen of Mewni despite being half monster. Meteora's absence from the Butterfly Family records is but one of many disturbing surprises that await her.

** While revisiting all those memories, current Meteora gets increasingly uncomfortable with each one. It's a very hard process for her.

** Not made explicit, but there is a possibility Star is now regretting that she ever found Moon and made her regain her memory early in Season 4, [[CouldHaveAvoidedThisPlot thinking Mewni and Star would be better off if Moon stayed on Pie Island baking for the pie folk and without her memories restored she would have never plot to overthrow Eclipsa and bring the kingdom to ruin]]. Speaking of pie folk, for her latest detrimental actions and deception, [[InTheBlood Moon is truly a pie folk, a thief for trying to steal the kingdom away from Eclipsa out of selfish gain and a liar for deceiving her own daughter and others to think she is trustworthy when in fact she is not]].
