* If we take the photos of Mr. Wonder with Pump's dad as a reference, it is clear that he loves his son and misses him a lot too.

This effectively means not only did they render John ''homeless'' just to get rid of any evidence he had, but it's implied that his daughter was killed in the fire.

** Not that Father Gregor fares any better: as he returns wounded to his church, we can see that he has a bitter and saddened expression on his face, knowing that he probably regrets having shouted at Lila like that (especially in front of her son) and having hurt Skid and Pump exorcising Moloch. While the series is usually shown to be very funny, there are some scenes that made us spooky sad.
